I've said it many times on Free Republic - she's an Arabist. She was a huge admirer and friend of the late, fake Edward Said. She sees only the past glory of the Mid East, not the bung hole it's fallen into in the last...oh, seven hundred years.
And I say this as her biggest fan!

She is quite an original and really does not fit into any clear categories, even "libertarian" ones. BTW, some folks here are saying she supported Gore in 2000. She actually supported Nader, though God knows why.

She is one of the few people in public life who actually make some valid points...A victory for Bush will cement his neo-liberal neo-conism into the GOP and destroy any hope for a genuine rather than phony conservative resurgence....

In several of her columns she literally takes Hitlery and her minions apart. She doesn't care for Hitlery at all. She doesn't give similar treatment to the rest of the DemocRAT gaggle.

I was referring to the sophomoric MIS spelling of words.
To me, and millions of others, she is a "Hitlery" and her adopted family name should be "Klinton" in order to differentiate that name from the good Clintons of America.
From reading her article she seems to excoriate everything about Kerry, his family and his campaign, while admiring Bush and his family.
This woman is deeply conflicted.
I think if she would just have sex with Rush once, it would solve a lot of her problems.
