"In sum, there is a strong case to be made for coming out to vote as a show of appreciation to George W. Bush. But there is also much on the record to convince us of the importance of voting strictly to ensure that John Kerry does not become our next president."
DANG those are some STRONG words!! C'mon NY vote for W!
To: zeebee
Unfortunately, it didn't help much when they endorsed Bush in 2000.

Bloomberg (RINO) is supporting Schumer (D) probably just because they're both Jewish Now now, let's not lump everything together.

The New York Post endorsed Schumer too. As bad as he is with judges, he's been pretty hawkish on the War Against Terrorism.

what state are you in? because I do not see that on long island, Bush can get 30% of the jewish vote I believe. it won't mean anything overall for NY, but it will for FL and NJ if he can get that much.

There is no question that Israel will act sometime next year to take out the Iranian nuclear capabilities. World reaction against the move will be violent. Kerry and his "global test" mindset will mouth a lot of meaningless platitudes but do nothing one way or the other. Only Bush will stand in Israel's corner in any concrete way when this showdown comes.

most american jews are detached from issues regarding Israel - they do not see it as "self destruction", its simply not part of their concerns. I'm not agreeing with them, its just an observation.

Okay I'll compromise, vote for charley boy, but my goodness pull the lever, punch the chad, touch the screen, what ever you have to do to vote, and vote for W.

I can understand why Jews are for the democrat ( see Roosevelt ), but I think that will change in time.

Only Bush will stand in Israel's corner in any concrete way when this showdown comes. I heard a speech from Ari Fleisher the other night. He said the US is the ONLY nation in the world that supports Israel, and Bush is the only president to have never used the word, "restraint."

That may be true but there isn't just a "It doesn't affect me" issue but it is really a "Let's get these people out of the way" issue.

American Jews seemed more concerned with "The Pasion" than anything happening in Israel. Israel should be thankful that it has American Christians to defend it because American Jews certainly don't.
