thanks...i didnt think so...the WaPo poll has always had a

significant democrat bias. if we get a 4-5 day track of +3

Bush, this is huge especially having a very low MOE with such

a large sample...this is great news and thank you for your

work in this thread. we appreciate it.

I know my data is anecdotal. My point was in response to the post which said that all of Bush's 2000 voters would vote for him this time. Can't be that emphatic.

I in fact do live in leftist La-La land, but I'm taking about friends that voted for Bush in 2000 and have switched. Personally I can't think of any close friends that have switched the other way (Gore to Bush this time). I'm know that in other areas the opporsite has happened.

My point is that you can't assume that all Bush 2000 voters will hold tight.

Hey, Rog

Just though it would be fun to make my first vist to DU. Here's what I emailed to them:

Dear DU, From reading your rules and regulations, it doesn't sound like you want any Democrats to register who don't particularly agree with you and your forum. How will you ever solve problems and move ahead with agendas if you are locked down and ready in combat mode all the time. Sounds like there are a few articles of denial that I've read here, especially the coverage of the Al QaQaa weapons deal. They were most likely gone way before the war began. What's up with that? I use many sources of journalism and it looks like you are slanting information. My whole family left the Democratic Party (85 people) after Clinton's first term. How will you ever survive if you can't be objective on issues? There's no way Kerry can win this election. Not one snowball's chance in he**. The man is a total empty suit, the same as Bill Clinton was. My dad, a long time democrat, (74 years) said the funniest thing I ever heard during Clinton's tenure, and the truth is funny mostly. He said "In our country, the kids are 'hooked on phonics' and Clinton is 'hooked on phonies'. What will this sites epitaph be in the long run? Good question, huh?

He is talking about missing explosives in Iraq when he should be talking about missing jobs in Ohio and Michigan. He and his 527s are still running savagely negative ads which people are tired of. He has just taken a very winnable race and lost it.

I agree all the adds I see from Bush now are VERY positive and speak to the mans strengths as a HUMAN BEING. Man I gotta say it, I cried when I saw the add about the little girl that had lost her mother in the trade towers, and the look on Bushs face as he hugs her says it all.

All the tracking polls are like sine waves. They go up and down hovering over a given point (one the average 2). The 4 tracking polls have taken turns going up and down, but one thing doesn't change. They show Bush ahead by 2 on the average.

The good thing for Bush is that all of these polls have methodologies which assume more Dems than GOP, like 2000. The polls that do not have pre-determined weightings favoring Dems have Bush ahead by 5 (Gallup, Battleground, Time)
