Matthews has been beating this horse all year. He regales guests with the "amazing" statistic that 70% of Americans "believe Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11"!!!---in a tone that really says "how stupid can they BE?!".

I believe Saddam was "involved" in 9/11...and the 1993 attack on the WTC. Do I have proof? No.

Hey Chris! 70% also think O.J. was guilty. Must be those same fools who think Saddam was in on 9/11.

Of course we don't believe even half of what they say.

They choose to consider something from this administration lies when it does not further their goal of having the "elite" eastern liberals running the country. Then they present their version of the "truth" and interpret it for the masses.

One truth they ignored. When you turn to using propaganda, when you rewrite actual events to better suit your goals and attempt to spread this reconstituted "truth" to the masses, you will fool some of the people some of the time - but you will not fool all of the people all of the time.

We see a lot more about them than they realize and we are not buying it. We will find our news and ideas elsewhere.

Yep Evan, Clinton squandered a potentially great legacy by focussing on Monica, et al.and proogating lies like the plague and you guys squandered your credibility with fake, skewed and deliberately deceptive "news". and BTW telling people yours and the rest of the media's liberal mind set would was worth 5-15 poiint for Kerry proves to the electrorate exactly why they do not believe your news and should not listent to you if they want to be accurately informed. Stewing in you own words as it were.

They cannot understand that we know that Saddam was not involved in 911. So what?

I also know that Saddam was developing WMD and would use or sell them for terrorists. So, I'm not quite as stupid as they think. I do not want to wait for the biochemical attack, the nuclear attack that will take out 100,000 Americans. I prefer to go on the offensive with a leader I trust to defend America's future and future of our children.

Let them sit back and negotiate, get involved in all manner of deals for profit, take America down to please other world liberals - not me.

I believe it would be a real blessing if all the TV stations experienced a total electrical power failure for five years!

only ones who believe the leftists in the MSM are the brainwashed college crowd and the government-dependent minorities and elderly

It's amazing that huge corporations allow their staffs to criticize their potential customers, and create significant revenue opportunities for their competition.

Well, we know from a lot of the polls that at least half the country doesn‘t believe a thing that we say.

Maybe it's because of hard left liberals like Chrissy Matthews who go positively orgasmic over the likes of Bill Clinton and John Kerry. When people see the Pasty One wetting himself with euphoria over the "Lazarus" Clinton, or giggling like a school girl because sKerry actually talks to him, their suspicions over media bias are confirmed.

Me either, but we would all suffer if there is another attack. As long as we have George Bush is charge I believe we will be safe from the terrorist on our shores. Exactly the opposite if Kerry is elected.

I'd say since this whole campaign has started, more than half the country do NOT believe what these people say. Just from what I've seen and heard around here, no one watches anymore.

The only people who watch TV network news are those who are too poor to afford cable or satellite

Ol' Slim doesn't pay for TV, expecially when cable seems to be just as worthless as broadcast. What I would have spent on cable I give to FR. I'd argue that lot's of folks that have cable or sattelite are spending money on that instead of more worthwhile things like savings, books, home improvements, education etc...

This story is part of the reason why a draft is a bad idea. The Iraqi army did not fight even with 400,000 tons of weapons in hundreds of locations. One general said during the early invasion that, "We found more weapons at two locations than all the munitions we brought from NC."

When I see bumper stickers on Volkswagons that say "don't believe the corporate media" and on Tahoes that say "don't believe the liberal media", you can deduct that the media is in trouble.

You got it!

Famous (well, relatively famous) exchange in a Kipling story between two Scottish engineers - one asks the other why he doesn't "fudge" the ship's log to make his speed look better. He answers with a question: "What's her virginity to a lass?" The other replies, "The verra world and all, the verra world and all - but what do ye or I have tae do wi' virginity at oor time in life?"

Second engineer almost as dense as the members of the MSM . . .
