That's close enough.
My dad was a purchasing agent for a company, salesmen would give him Red Sox and bruins tickets (in the late Seventies and early Eighties).
I was blessed, and even though the tickets were free, he would refuse to pay to park, so he would leave the car down on Comm. ave, and it would be a long walk to Fenway, but it was worth it.
I have to admit, I was the only person in New England who wasn't at Fenway the night Fisk hit that home run.

It had all the appearances of a curse, but instead it was the Sox simply learning what it takes to win a World Series -- a star pitcher. I think the arrival of Curt Schilling with his very stabilizing influence really helped the team. The fact Schilling played through a very serious injury inspired the Red Sox to win.
But please, keep Senator John F. Kerry as far away as possible! Kerry is a poser that is not really a Red Sox fan to start with--you do remember how Kerry was loudly booed when he appeared at a Red Sox game some months ago.

Is that an approval of the outsourcing of american jobs?

Like the owners, Henry, Luchinno, and WENNER (that Fag) who want to "open" the parade to Kerry. What's this about "opening" the parade to Kerry? I think I just heard on NESN that the Red Sox parade will be on Friday...?

See you at the parade, Friday!!!Do you have any details on the parade? I was hoping it would be held on Saturday rather than Friday. I think my husband and I can still make it...

Hey Massachusetts! After the Patriots winning two Superbowls and the Red Sox winning the World Series, are you better off now than you were four years ago?

I wouldn't be surprised to see Kerry sitting in the first car during the parade waving to all his "fans". He'll be telling everyone that he gave the PLAN to Francona for winning.

Congratulations go out to you and all the long-suffering Red Sox fans. Are you going to get your screen name changed to TheRedSoxWinTheWorldSeries?

Who needs a life? You are that happy they won? Baseball is entertainment for intellectual lightweights that have no life to begin with other then sitting glued to the boob tube rooting for a commercial enterprise of which they derive no benefit. Stop wasting your time and life and help get Bush re-elected so all of our lives will be better. So please, get a life yourself and get off your rear and keep Kerry out of office. I'm a Yankee fan, but these Red Sox fans have every right to enjoy this triumph, and to celebrate. And while I may disagree with these fellow freepers on their choice of baseball teams, they are all stalwart conservatives who can't wait to see Bush re-elected, and who are doing everything in their power to make sure Kerry loses. I tip my Yankee cap to their team winning the World Series, and also look forward to all of us getting to celebrate Bush's re-election on Tuesday.
Besides, if you don't like baseball and think it's a waste of time, why waste your time clicking on a thread about it?

MY LIFE IS NOW COMPLETE!! Not quite. You have a very important vote to cast on November 2nd. But congrats to the Red Sox.
