Mods, if I've placed this in an inappropriate location, would you please move it?
I haven't seen anything like this posted re: praying for the upcoming election. I picked this up at a recent homeschooling get-together. It's worth printing out and posting on the fridge as well as passing along to others.

That believers would not allow their hopes to be in policies or parties but in God and God alone. It is my most sincere hope that President Bush wins this election, but as we started to approach election day and the race tightend, I started frantically praying to God that he give President Bush a victory.
I am now not certain that this is how I should use God, but rather to ask him to consider my desire and regardless of what happens, accept His will.
I have come to the realization that I have more faith in Democracy and Capitalism than I do in God. As much as I value the former, I need to work on making my faith to Him as my superior value.

This is excellent. This humbles me, for I have a tendency to just pray, "Please, God, let Bush win! Let Bush win!" Thank you for reminding me of what I should have known and should have been doing.

My prayer of LORD ( IN JESUS NAME )
LORD I PRAY , that you would open the eyes of ALL AMERICANS,, and see the truth about John Kerry , and what his evil motives are, and see how much a lier he is.
I pray oh LORD in JESUS name, that You place George Bush in the office of the President of the USA again.
I pray that the Republicans win BIG in this election, and gain many seats in the house on congress, and the Senate I pray that rain and snow falls on election day, and cause the Democrats, lulled into apathy, and wake up late on election day. I pray that the Republicans, Conservatives, and Christians, will come out in full force, and vote BIG. IN JESUS NAME I PRAY AMEN.

Bingo. I have found myself praying for God's will, not my own. In every way President Bush is a far superior man and leader than Kerry has ever been, but the Bible says that God lifts up leaders and takes them down. If the President loses on Tuesday, I will cry and, actually, mourn, but whatever happens will be part of His greater plan.

If President Bush loses on Tuesday for his stand on his faith or his view on abortion, he is still the winner. Always was, always will be. God bless him.

The thing is ? Us republicans will still go out and vote, even if we were in a accident, rain, snow.
I pray, that there will be a LOT OF RAIN IN OHIO , PENN, CALI , FLA , so that the DEMS will have a low voter turnout.
I believe ,, that BUSH WILL TAKE CALI , if we BELIEVE IT,, IT WILL HAPPEN, LET"S GET PRAYING ON IT. BUSH TAKES CALI.
