Then they both converted to Roman Catholicism and were baptized as Catholics before immigrating to America and before giving birth to JF Kerry's father.

No you argued that Kerry only had one Jewish grandparent, now youre arguing that he did have two Jewish grandparents, but is still not half Jewish.

I would add that he has Jewish roots -- his paternal great-grandfather was Jewish.

I would never describe JF Kerry as half-Jewish. And I have no argument with the JTA Jewish News Service -- they were correct, to the extent that they wanted to be.
