Good thing that there are people who are starting to ask the questions that the lamestream media are too lazy or too dull to ask.

Just admit that John Kerry spent only three months in actual combat, one month in swift boat training, committed war crimes that he admitted to, met with the enemy repeatedly, committed treason, and claims to have a plan without actually having a plan.

Why were the high explosives in Iraq to begin with? When they were found by UN inspectors, why were they not removed or destroyed? In 1990-91 Saddam had a crude Nuclear weapon codename beach ball. What ever happened to it? You guys in the left live in a fantasy world. Containment after 9/11 is no longer is the main option. The UN as the Iraqi food program demonstrated is corrupt and WLL not look out for our country. As history over time has proven, the have-nots want what the haves possess. We must be on the offensive. Saddam as well as the leadership in Iran and N. Korea must be removed from power. In a world of Nuclear Weapons as well as other WMD, we have no other choice.

Everyone, you seem to be missing this part in the beginning of the article"

Quote:

... but White House and Pentagon officials acknowledge that the explosives vanished sometime after the American-led invasion last year.

This will not be good for Bush... no matter how it's spun...

This story holds the possibility of helping Bush and may be difficult for Kerry to use to his advantage.

The intensity level and noise of the campaign is extremely high during this final week. Absent a headline or storyline trumpeting that the Bush Administration was hiding something, or deliberately lied about the munitions, this story will not break through the noise to hurt Bush. Kerry has been making the "Bush is incompetent," "Bush misled us," "Bush has done almost everything wrong," argument for weeks. Kerry's response thus far has been to simply add this story to his pre-existing litany of complaints. This just drowns it out. More of the same from Kerry.

Conversely, the idea that the Hussein regime had such caches of weapons allows Bush to stay focused on the argument that Iraq was and continues to be a dangerous place and the frontline in the War on Terror. Any story that emphasizes weapons and terrorists only fans people's fears and confirms that terrorism is the central issue to this election. If in fact Karl Rove leaked this story, it was to ensure that the issue during the final week remains the War on Terror. The more Kerry talks about the war, the more he is falling into the trap of playing to the President's strength. Kerry hasn't been able to narrow the commander-in-chief gap over the past couple of months. It is utter futility to think he can narrow it during the final week.

With all of the background noise and people's busy lives, the average person will most likely hear "Iraq," "weapons," and "terrorists attempting to obtain." A strong argument can be made that this only helps the President.

That's enough explosive to take down 760,000 Pan Am 103's, or take down 1200 skyscrapers, or set off 1 car bomb a day for 200 years.

And it can be obtained easily all over the world. This article demonstrates one thing: Democrats, Socialsists and their media allies spanning the globe seek only to end the Administration of one of the only politicains on the planet willing to stop the spread of weapons.

But the NYT and the liberal scum like yourself have been saying that it is highly destructive super explosives.
If it is as dangerous as you guys claim, then it is a "WMD".
You can't have it both ways clown.
Either Saddam was a trheat like your boy CLINTON repeatedly said, or he wasn't.
Either be intellectually honest, or shut your lying traps and let the adults handle the situation.
Clinton merely tossed cruise missiles to hit camels in the rump, or flew some planes and dropped some bombs on insiginificant targets.
Saddam for years fired SAM's at our aircraft and the soldiers piloting them in defiance of the surrender agreement Saddam himself signed in 1991.

CLINTON didn't have the nads to call Saddam out.
Dubya does and did.
I know that just burns you libs up.
You prefer people who PRETEND to be men, TALK like a man, and yet do nothing.
So either be honest about what the threat was, or shut up.

***No matter how it's spun.****

It doesn't say "when" because we're told that the Marines checked it and found nothing.

What does "after the invasion" mean?

If IAEA tagged it, and then the IAEA complained it was being relocated, and when the Marines arrived they said they saw nothing there. If it took the Marines about 2 weeks to get as far as Babil, then the "when" they are complaining about is "After the start of the invasion" and "Before the Marines finally got there" and "GONE 'BEFORE' the Marines arrived is the most important point. The headline should be "Where Did the Former Regime Relocate the WMD trigger Explosive?"

This is old, old news. The stuff was moved while the UN diddled around so the French and Russians and Germans could hide all the stuff they'd sold Saddam as part of the "Oil for Food" rip-off. And we are supposed to be shocked by this right before we go vote? How stupid do they think we are?
