Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs January 1993 Final Report

IThe Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA Affairs published in its January 1993 Final Report (page 6) that American servicemen were left behind alive and in captivity.
Kerry's Select Committee staff, in order to soft pedal this abandonment, added in the report "We acknowledge that there is no proof that U.S. POWs survived."
Kerry's "no proof" assertion, was an outright lie. It was an effort by Kerry's pro-Hanoi staff to bury our POW/MIA's and further open the doors to trade with Vietnam.
Kerry maintained there was "no proof U.S. POWs survived," but never produced evidence proving the left behind POWs were dead, or who was responsible for their deaths or where their remains were located.
Kerry never demanded that Vietnam explain.

Don`t forget to add this part...
"In June of 1993, as reported in a Boston Herald article by Michael E. Knell, "Colliers International brokered a $905 million dollar deal to develop a deep sea port in Vietnam.." To skirt the trade embargo still in effect against Vietnam, Colliers International acted through its partner firm Colliers Jardine based in Singapore. At the time the deal was brokered, C. Stewart Forbes was the Chief Executive Officer of Colliers International.

All through 1993 and into early 1994, John Kerry pushed for the lifting of the trade embargo against Vietnam, citing of Vietnamese cooperation on the POW/MIA issue. As evidenced in the articles of Sydney Schanberg and scripted event involving Senator Kerry and Col. Pham Duc Dia, Vietnamese cooperation was clearly a myth.

Yet, Kerry persisted in his campaign to lift the trade embargo. Finally, his efforts were rewarded in February 1994, when President Clinton lifted the embargo.

Did Kerry have an another agenda, beyond the stated goals of the committee? Before you answer that question, there is one other piece of information you need to know. C. Stewart Forbes CEO of Colliers International and John Forbes Kerry are cousins.

Did financial gain motivate Kerry's actions as Chairman of the Select Committee?"

4. Retired Gen. George S. Patton III charged that Mr. Kerry's actions as an anti-war activist 'gave aid and comfort to the enemy.'

True. Patton uttered the remark in his capacity as a veterans' spokesman for Ray Shamie, Kerry's Republican opponent in the 1984 Massachusetts Senate race.

From the New York Times, Oct. 30, 1984:

The most heated moment of the campaign this year came when John McManus, a spokesman for the John Birch Society, and Maj. Gen. George S. Patton Jr., retired, the chairman of a Veterans for Shamie group, charged that Mr. Kerry was a Communist sympathizer guilty of "near-treasonous activity" in the Vietnam War.

From the Washington Post, Oct. 24, 1984:

Joining McManus, retired general George S. Patton, son of the famous World War II general and honorary chairman of Shamie's veterans' committee, called Kerry "soft on communism" and said that, by protesting the war, Kerry "gave aid and comfort to the enemy and probably caused some of my guys to get killed."

No doubt an amazing coincidence.

Kerry will claim he "never heard of" his cousin Stewart.

Tinfoil or ??????

I just wonder if all those "copies" of staff papers and other documents were truly shredded by Kerry's committee staff ? All it takes would be a person who relished "saving the truth".

Okay, this is my take SO FAR.

I may only be the wife of a Viet Vet (mine made it home) but I am madder that spit about this.

Meaning no disrespect but when I see how all of the Senators have been fawning over the 9/11 families - I think about the wives that still don't know what happened to their husbands and I just feel it is time this country comes to terms with all of this,

What has McCain been saying" we don't need to open up old wounds about Vietnam", thats what he said when asked why he wouldn't support the SBVTS. Now we know why he wants Vietnam to go away.

Well I say for the good of the country now and in the future, as well as the families of POWS/MIAS of the past, it is NECESSARY thst this is FRONT PAGE NEWS.

This won't come out because also involved in a cover up of POW's left behind is Cheney, Reagan, Bush 41,,,alot of administrations and people. This won't be the issue. If Kerry was doing a hearing, where were those guys insisting on the truth, they had the intel also. There is alot of blame to go round with this issue and I don't think anyone in any administration since 1976 wants it to get alot of press.

Love Cheney but if he would take the chance that Kerry would become CIC even knowing what he knows, then what does that say about him.
This isn't a "regular" election, the future of our country and Cheney's grandchildren is at stake. Besides, he was DoD and we know Kerry hates anything military so I doubt that there is any "collaboration" between the two.

The intel on POW's left filtered thru the CIA and you bet everybody at the top since 76 knew about it. No way is the truth going to out unless some staffer has papers and knows. The interesting part is what happened to those guys. And can the dots between Kerry and his cousin who made millions be connected. I have wondered how Kerry had no money for years only his salary as a senator and he seemed to be able to live, even after leaving his first wife.

I`m afraid with the money behind the demon-rat party and the socialist/globalist backing, OJ would even have 45% support.

So - do we drop it? Not that "we" can do much but on Newswatch just know the little socialist pip-squeek said that "all this stuff about the propaganda against Kerry started on internet.. Maybe we do have some Power but for the sake of Cheney, Bush 41, Reagan,et al. do we forget it?

This story had no legs because it involved John McCain. He paid off the media with attacks on Dubya.
