I'm not 100% sure, but I believe I heard Tiger was a Republican.
This is a classy group of people- no doubt about it. Not a bad one in the bunch. Winners picking winners! I guess I am going to have to start liking Lynn Swann now.
Hopefully Bernie will appear with the President when he returns to Ohio.
I agree that CO looks like its going to go Bush. But I recall a ball game a couple of weeks ago when the Broncos were playing and the announcers were talking about how Elway was still huge in CO. That when he lost his dog it was on the front page of the paper. If Elway were to come out and say that only Raider fans would support Kerry, Bush might win the state 99% to 1%
Of course being arab couldn't have possibly colored her interpretation, now could it!
I have to insert Denver as my second team.
LOL RIGHT!
Dunno. He's got a house in Florida too so chances are that he'd be there this time of year.
God Bless, My boyhood hero, Mr. Cub, ERNIE BANKS!
Todd Walker?!?!!?!?! ROTFLMAO!! God love him, but his name looks a weeeeee bit out of place on this list, don't you think? What, was John Valentin not available? How about Omar Infante? And I can't believe that they could do this without getting Kyle Lohse to join them.
The point I commented on was "more recently", not about how many times.
"(who, ironically, have won a WS more recently than have the Red Sox)."
I put the little winking smiley face thingy in there because I was playing. But if you want to get technical, how many teams, besides the Yankees, have won the World Series since 1918?
Where is the "irony" in the Angels winning "more recently" when, off the top of my head, the Marlins, the Diamondbacks, the Braves, the Orioles, the Twins, the Blue Jays, the Royals, the Mets, the Dodgers (LA & Brooklyn), the Cardinals, the Pirates, the Phillies, the Tigers, the A's, the Reds, the Indians, heck even the Washington Senators have won a World Series "more recently" than the Red Sox.
Originally intended to be a facetious comment on my part, I apologize for my insensitivity to the feelings of you poor put-upon Red Sox fans. Sheesh, I want so badly to pull for the Red Sox, but ya'll make it so difficult to even care what happens.
But I will wish your team good luck.
Munoz bump
Hope these good Ohio stars go out and stump for W.
Steve Largent bump!
Hey lay off my Cubbie second baseman man!
My dislike for the Cardinals has been furthered now that I have learned Carlos Beltran and Craig Biggio are on W's side.
GO ASTROS!
It's great to see Lynn Swann's name there, but what the heck is wrong with Franco Harris? He's been stumping for Kerry in the Pittsburgh area.
Ernie Banks!
Chicago -- pay attention!
From what I've read, I believe most PGA tour players are conservatives.
