Where's he goin' huntin'? Lambert Field? Or perhaps the great state of Bermingham?
'Great White Hunter' ping
I don't think the guy should be allowed to handle a weapon. He's showing signs of serious mental distress if you ask me.
I still haven't figured out how you pull the trigger while on your belly. If you couch the gun underneath you, then you shoot yourself in the chin (or nose, if you insist at staring at the ground). If you stick the gun in front of you, it kicks back into your head. (Perhaps Kerry has experienced several of these sort of incidents. It might explain his pathetic lack of mental integrity.) And then, how do you manage to aim the gun at the beast? Do you shoot it in the toe? Is that effective?
Oh, yeah, and I'm not a hunter. (My previous employer banned my ownership of a firearm--even at home. I don't think that they ever enforced the rule; otherwise, several fellow employees...)
Tofurkey hunting with a guide from PETA??
If only I lived in Ohio instead of Texas. I'd organize a big group of freepers to get in front of cameras near this great white fake hunter clown. We'd all be armed with straws and spitballs dresed in our camo's. What a blast!
Hope no one farts in the duck blind.
Great...the Regular Guy Tour continues.
Well I hear that when skerry shoots a crow or a chicken that Dan R. will be right there to verify that it's a duck:)
Amazing ... he got Vietnam in there, didn't he? Maybe he can also tell us about hunting Mekong duck with a 50 cal machine gun. As to this "my faith will guide me" statement, stay far away from sKerry when there's lightning about.
And... when did President Bush do this? Are your referring to the AWB which expired last week? The Congress did not author, nor pass a bill to extend the AWB for President Bush's signature. I'm certain W had an interest in this bill not being put on his desk. Regardless, I do not understand what you mean by "Bush reversed..."
I am talking about what is admittedly a largely symbolic gesture, but important nonetheless.
When Clinton was in office, it was the official position of his Justice Dept that the Second Amendment refers to a collective right, which fit with their anti-gun positions. When Bush took office, Ashcroft reversed this by saying that the Bush Justice Dept regards the Second Amendment as protecting an individual right, as was clearly the Original Intent.
Now clearly the council of kings known as the Sup Court could someday rule otherwise making the official position of the White House irrelevant, but it is nice to know that the President actually believes in the true meaning of the Sec Amendment.
Boy you know he's desperate if he's taking time off to go hunting 13 days out. He's trying to blunt the NRA ads. Smacks of when slick rushed back to Arkansas to sign the execution order to seem 'tough' on crime when he was running the first time.
I shoot a rifle while laying on my belly all the time. It's called the prone position. Still, crawling around trying to hunt deer is pretty silly.
Oh, yeah, and I'm not a hunter.
Good thing that you never tried to be a sniper. A good friend of mine was a sniper in Viet Nam. He spent a lot of time on his belly or in trees taking out the bad guys. He also hunts in Colorado and takes out elk at 400 yards with his Remington bench rested on a log. He's on his belly.
From what I've seen of Kerry,, he's never smelled a whiff of gunpowder in his life. He's a phoney bastard who should not be allowed to get near a weapon. Furthermore, if he accepted, and took position of a firearm in MA without filling out the requisite State and/or Federal forms, he should be in jail.
Kerry's going hunting? I wonder how many Vietnamese American homes will get torched? Will he shoot some farmers tending their fields?
Has this been addressed? Kerry needs to show he has taken a "Firearm Safety" course to get a hunting liscense in Ohio, or show a hunting liscense from another state current or expired. According to Jim Quinn, www.warroom.com , there is no record of John Kerry having a hunting license in Mass. or anywhere else. Also Kerry makes a wild claim of his hunting prowess, "crawling on the ground with my trusty double barreled 12 guage shotgun, stalking my prey, using decoys and tricks, playing mind games...eventually bagging my quarry. Nothing big, an 8 point or something like that. The biggest I`ve seen was a 16 point or something like that down on the cape (Cod)." when asked, no licensed hunter can verify ever seeing a 16 point buck on Cape Cod. Are there any hunters who would like to comment on this absurdity?
He'll probably just chase a young goose down and shoot it in the back, then accuse the members of his hunting party of crimes against animals.
