Too little too late. Most people that even remotely follow politics knows Laura Bush was a teacher and librarian. Nobody is going to believe she forgot. I wonder how many people slapped her around for that comment.

Translation: "Sorry. I thought she'd just wasted her life raising her children and taking care of her husband."

...add, Tere$a, "and Laura isn't multy linguial, ie., lacks MY *We(Kerrys) Are The World* montage."

THK is another example that money can't buy brains. I wonder if THK has ever held a real job?

Oh, okay. Haha. She tried to do the "didn't want to stay home baking cookies" thing, like Hillary, it blew up in her face, like it did with Hillary.

Hey, maybe Hillary put her up to it. "Theresa, you just say something about how, unlike Laura Bush, you actually WORK for a living doing important stuff, and *your* husband supports that. That'll help John with the women's vote. Trust me."

But what is this "my validation and her validation" sh!t Theresa is rambling about? Validation?

Dear Dave Olson,

Sorry, in my view, her "apology" minimizes what stay-at-home moms do.

After all, Ms. Heinz-Kerry-Whatever didn't say, "Oh, I forgot she was a mom." Rather, she said, "Oh, I forgot she was a teacher."

Thus, stay-at-home moms don't have "real jobs."

She ought to be buried under by contempt.

Believe it or not, I think that THK chose to stay home and take care of her children and husband. Her father wanted her to become a doctor and she probably had the smarts to do it. I think that something must have snapped in her when John Heinz died. She had given her life to him and the children by choice. But I think that she also remained frustrated because she was intelligent and as a stay-at-home- mom and wife of a senator, she wasn't appreciated for it. That makes her comments about Mrs. Bush all the more reprehensible IMHO.

That's a good question. Handing out money to "revolutionaries" doesn't qualify in my book.

I guess raising two hell-raising twins is a vacation? Of course Theresa wouldn't know about raising children, I am sure she had the nanny take care of that unpleasantness.

Hopefully, that will rial up the TEA group and the stay at home mom's. Anyone that votes these nut cases into the white house needs to be on drugs.

All they're saying in thee most petty passive aggressive way is, "Oh who? Laura? Uh oh yeah, that isignificant woman in OUR White house.. yeah uh hmmm.. nice gal."

Ms. Heinz-Kerry, having made the statement that the (well-known) Mrs. Bush lacks the experience of a "regular job" - unlike herself, of course - and without having confirmed her information before shooting off her mouth, should give everyone a REALLY good idea of how she'd handle herself, were she to become First Lady. THAT WOMAN IS DANGEROUS. She hasn't got a CLUE as to what this is all about. Put a couple glasses of wine in her (not to mention Edwards' wife) and LOOK OUT. Dumb & Dumber.

What the heck is her job?

She has a billion dollars so she runs a 'foundation' to distribute some of the money... Meritocracy at work there!

Don't give her credit for anything. Give some campaign flack credit for finally getting a retraction out. The USAT piece has been out all day.

When your opponent gives you an opening, you use it. With her remarks, Teresa insulted teachers and stay-at-home soccer moms -- both important pillars of Democrat support in elections. You'd better believe we don't simply say "oh, she apologized, let's move on." Make them pay!

I have now :-). It seems simple enough on the surface, "I forgot she'd had jobs," but still conveys the meaning that if Mrs. Bush hadn't had the jobs, that would mean she was too lightweight to be taken seriously.

Karen Hughes was on CNN with Judy Woodrift and then on Fox News and among other things Hughes did not accept THK's apology.

Pubblies playing hardball and holding THK accountable for actions.
