It's revolting the way the black liberals race bait (lynching/hanging) incidents that are unfavorable to their cause.

FYI:
I know the removed official is a Dem because I checked the State Board of Elections website.
The original WRAL article misspelled her surname ("Sommerville"), but http://www.sboe.state.nc.us says it's "Somerville".

No kidding. It makes me sick.
I should ping mhking.

The courtroom was packed with local citizens who thought Somerville was doing a good job. I'm sure she did. ;)

If the Dems on the SBOE voted for her removal, it must have been something pretty blatant.
This is the only article I've seen on it so far; if I find another, I'll ping you.
To: yoe
Is she the one who refused to leave office(thinking it was lifetime appointment or something like that?)

Soul City...A popular destination for the Feast of All Souls', especially on Election Day.

If I'm not mistaken, the SBOE is majority Democrat and the chair is a Democrat.
This sounds like pre-election housekeeping. Mrs. Somerville's sins must have been so egregious, even the Democrats blinked.

I seem to recall that now; I think it was mentioned recently when the SBOE banned those ads.
You're probably right.

It's not been about "skin color" for a long time; it's about obtaining/maintaining/stealing power on the cheap. I put US Civil Rights Commissioner Mary Frances Berry right up there as one of the lowest of the scum who play the race card to "obscure" reality. "Look at my skin color when it serves my self-serving goals/Don't look at my skin color when I'm cheatin'."
What a sham.

lol.. Yep; that's her. Not only that.. but she's been reported as "running down back hallways" to avoid honest inquiry. She can dish it out but she can't take it.
Get out of the US Kitchen, Mary Frances Berry -- race-baiter extraordinnaire.!!

You R Right. She's hiding, most of the time. Of course, if she gets tracked down, she'll probably be screaming "Who let the dogs out -- they're comin' fer me!". How boring, and utterly predictable. Pshaw.
Perhaps President Bush can offer her an ambassadorship to say... Nigeria?
