On fox last night they had the national poll that Bush was up by 7 points they also mentioned OH
they said that they had OH up by Bush 5 points - Brit Hume mentioned that this was also what the campaign internals suggested which is probably why we dont see Bush there
still i would like him to increase his lead there by 10 or so
Read your headline. It needs help.
The state polls lag behind the national polls. They will come around, too. Just wait.
Have a good day.
"I see bad trends......and tourist guys."
This country is turning into Communism, the RATS can do anything they want, the MSM caters to them & no one says a word. That is something to be worried about!
LOL
Reminds me of the scene in Airplane where the passengers are lined up to "console" the hysterical woman.
If Bush has a five to seven point lead nationally, you don't have to worry. Remember Bush/Gore was essentially a 50/50 popular vote which you would need to have a different popular vote winner vs electoral college vote winner. Don't you feel better now?
The national polls are gyrating like the hips of a pre-heart attack Bill Clinton during a wicked Lewinski. Judging by the fact that Kerry is cranking up the hate and scare rhetoric and W is sticking to his calm, matter-a-fact style, I'd say that both sides have their own internal polling that they're relying on and not the national polls. The internal polls indicate that W's team is confident of victory while Kerry's insane clown posse is freaking.
State polls lag behind national polls. The reason appears to be because any trend first hits non-swing states, which usually aren't polled very often.
For example, if a Republican starts to surge, the first place it happens is in states where he's already strong and there's a natural predisposition among the electorate to support him. It takes a few days longer for the issue that caused that surge to take hold of voters in swing states, who are more divided and have less tendency to sway to one party than the voters in more partisan states.
So if some issue, event, or gaffe causes the GOP candidate to start rising in the polls, the first places it hits will be GOP landslide states like Alabama or Kansas. That will cause the national numbers to rise, but since those states are rarely polled (since they aren't competitive) the state polls seem to show no movement. No one much notices if Bush's poll lead in Texas rises from 59-36 to 64-32, but a rise like that in several hardcore Bush states can affect the national numbers.
A few days later, the polls will start to move in the battleground states, when the issue, event, or whatever that caused the surge to start spreads to less partisan states where it takes longer for the issue to get a reaction.
That's one theory, anyway!
So stay tuned. Bush should look better in the battleground states soon.
When the elite break the will of the average Americans, they will have won the war on terrorism for the terrorists. Since the President widened his lead in the polls, the MSM has launched an all out campaign to report everything Kerry says as truth, most often showing film clips of the senator speaking. They then repeat what the President says and usually without a film clip.
We CANNOT afford to let the MSM decide who will be president of our country, nor can we worry about these munipulated polls. I know one person in OH who tells the pollsters that he is voting for Nader but he is a Bush supporter. People are tired of the pollsters too.
I am not worried about Bush being elected if we quit giving fodder to the Kerry campaign to use against the President. Kind of like Pat Robertson did yesterday.
Yes--ha, ha
Well they'll be lining up to "console" me next. I'm like you--getting a little nervous about all the dirty tricks. Did you see the latest thread from some idiot at the Boston Globe??--says the Republicans are out to steal the election.
Amen!
And the spelling of grammar.

Not to worry, she's doesn't get mad when you spell her name wrong :)
Then get off the internet and take up knitting. Because it's going to get more hysterical as the final days dawn on the dems. They'll end up spouting polls taken of Middle Eastern Homeless Midgets for Kerry as proof he's still in the game. You need to get a grip and look at the forest, not the trees.
Let not your heart be troubled, as Hannity says. We just need to make sure we all do our part on Nov. 2 and show up to vote for President Bush.
