Zogby is underpolling FL, AR and I think WI is closer. Ohio could be a 3 point race. I also think the 9.5 margin for Kerry in NM is off.

That misses the point. Reagan proved that we could grow our way out of deficits despite the endless whining. I recall the "very special news programs" filled with gloom and doom about how our grandkids would have to eat dog food because of the deficits in the 80s. Nonsense, the Reagon tax cuts eventually led to economic growth that caused a surplus. Your concerns about these bloated government programs (especially discretionary spending) are well founded because we should always fight expansion of the federal government. The deficit itself however is a canard as long as it remains a small percentage of GDP (which it is right now).
