The only army a lefty would wage war upon: one without any guns.

When the Salvation Army said they wanted to come to France, the French immediately offered to surrender.

Just tagging on here but Forbes does a great round up each year of the least, and most, efficient charities including salaries, fund raising overhead and how much actually goes out for the "real purpose".

Check it out here:

Worth a look.

I saw something on TV a couple of years ago about the richest CEO's in America. On that show they said that the CEO of the Salvation Army makes 6 million a year. I will go hunting and see if I can verify that story again now. But I know it is not an Urban Ledgend because I heard the report on one of the national news networks. Go figure... So they are saying they will lose 6 million this year from not having Target Stores, so if the CEO really is making that much they can get rid of him and those donations can go to the poor who need it from now on. Anyone else see that report on TV about the richest CEOs in America a couple of years ago? Just wondering.

The SA saved our butts during relief efforts after Hurricane Donna in 1961 leveled Marathon, Fl. Blankets and free clothing, with cash for food and a place to stay. I will cotinue to support them.

Regan was the best president the world has ever seen. But WTF happened with his kids? Did Nancy drop them?!

The only thing I can figure is that Ron Reagan, while Governor of CA. and as a movie star, was always away from home and therefor let Nancy do all the upbringing.(Never liked Nancy. She is too hoity-toity for my taste)

Still, it doesn't explain why the kids didn't at least absorb some of the dad's common sense and conservative ways.

Ron Prescott (not a junior) makes me sick.

As a father myself, and granddad, I suppose the Prez was really embarassed of his kids but, like always, didn't bring the dispute into the public realm.
