I was recently visiting a major scientific institution in Tokyo. While meeting with some of the high level mucky mucks one of them began discussing C02 measurements. I remarked that C02 wasn't the primary greenhouse gas.
He smiled at me and winked and said: "Ah, true, but what is important is that we get more funding HA HA Ha !!".
Good grief

A chimera is an amalgam.
The black fluid from the X-Files TV show was a chimera. It exhibited both plant and animal attributes.

I think the author intended definition # 2:
"...an illusion or fabrication of the mind...";
as opposed to the fire breathing she-monster.

If everyone who is so hysterical about greenhouse emissions would just calm down, relax, and breathe slowly, they would go a long way towards reducing CO2 emissions. Because all of their frantic hyperventilating over the issue is almost certainly a significant source of CO2.

If we defeat Kerry, the problem of excess gas will go away
along with global warming.

But what about dihydrogen monoxide?Should be banned. It's used in the manufacture of pesticides and is now in all our rivers and streams. It can kill you! :)
