When pressed as to where he sourced the nonsensical allegation that the Navy shot down the TWA flight, Pierre responded that he read it on the INTERNET! He's apparently been a dingbat for years.
Please don't speak ill of the dead. Unless they actually like the french.

The Washington Post tonite says that Salinger not only claimed the Navy shot down the TWA flight, but that the Drug Enforcement Agency caused the explosion aboard Pan Am 103. The dingbat Pierre moved to France after GW Bush won the 2000 election; at least his death will not be attributed to Bush's reelection in 2004.
His last word was "Rosebud."
Isn't he the one who said TWA 800 was shot down by a missile?
