A good column (although her opposition to the death penalty for terrorists completely stumps me).
Her description of the artistic elite was right on. Time to read "Radical Chic and Mau-mauing the Flak Catchers" again.

Abortion rights? By all means, lets hang on to them. Federal funding for embryonic stem cell research? Good idea, I hope it works. ... The death penalty? Im against it even for terrorists, Kill the most innocent, spare the most guilty. Yep, she's a liberal alright.

If the role were reversed, I would be voting for Tony Blair in Britain.
This woman would appear to be of the same mindset in this respect when she declares her intention to vote for the President.
I only wish more of our Liberals were like her, Alexandra, Hitchins, Koch, Radosh and Ron Silver.

"Wow" is right. Dead hit ping.

I do not want the global jihadists and women-hating fundamentalists to be celebrating Bushs defeat. They do not deserve to win,
Thank GOD! SOME on the Left get it. First we kill the barbarians, THEN we can fight our little personal culture wars. Priorities boys and girls, PRIORITIES.

Awesome article, Ivan. God Bless you for posting it, and the author for braving her peers to vote for our President!
BTW--I got to see him in person when he came to my neck of the woods Thursday. Can I do a "neener neener"? :)

I am so happy! I have just met my first Democrat couple who are voting for Bush. They are good friends but we never discussed politics after recognizing years ago that we were on opposite sides.
Today THEY brought up the subject of politics and remarked how awful it would be to have Kerry win the election.
They said how appalled they were at Kerry's tacky remarks about the Cheney daughter. I asked if that one thing was their "turning point" and they admitted that they had heard that he never showed up for work in the Senate and they didn't expect he'd show up for work if he was President. While still disagreeing with President Bush on a number of subjects, they both said he was definitely the better choice.
I just wanted to share this with you all.

Very powerful piece on why a liberal Democrat would vote for GWB. One of the most honest and soul searching articles I've ever read by a liberal Democrat. Wow!
