Scrappleface.com style version of the above:
Michael McMurry found himself tamping down the original observation that Bush is going to reinstate the draft if he is re-elected, saying he did not intend to convey the truth that Bush would, you know, forcibly call up the college boys and send them over there. McMurry also emphasized that Bush's "secret plan" for a draft was not endorsed by Senator Kerry, who never meant to imply that he agreed with Bush's secret plan. "It was all a misunderstanding, you know, that thing about Bush reinstating the controversial draft. We don't want young Americans and their parents being frightened by the assumption that we are sure Bush would carry out that secret draft plan."
Exactly. They're so scared they'd have to fight (or flight to Canada) that they don't notice the Dems actually doing the same thing they accuse the Republicans of doing! Only Dems proposed Draft legislation! D'oh!
The Dems can seance Ed Assner back from his dead carreer to frighten Florida retireers
with his phone harrassment LIES...telling them GW Bush is stealing their Social Security checks and is going to throw them all out into the street
While Jane Fonda and Mikey Moore can do the same to college students, and former Vietnam War draft dodgers kids scaring them with boogie man 'draft' LIES
The democrat party has become the sediment bulb sump hole for the ugliest aspect of American post modern culture
It needs to be drained and flushed
imo
sorry -forgot to hit spell checker before hitting post...
This from the Globe?!! Wow...they act like somebody inching away from a guy who just passed gas. Of course, considering where their nose has been all through this campaign, I don't blame them.
Another whopper was the one about Dubya creating loopholes for corporations. On FNC yesterday it was noted that said 'loopholes' have existed for decades.
The commies, stealth-commies, lefties and other kooks have been out in force here in madison!
If Kerry is elected, he will have to impose a draft because people will leave the military in droves.
It my guess those internal numbers are showing their base is crumbling. Other than insanity, it's the only logical explaination for returning to primary-style politicing only weeks from election day.
Then again, what the heck do I know? :)
The Liberals started hedging their bets on Kerry after the last debate. This from The Boston Globe, New England's Praavda.
I pity you and offer you my prayers.
Kerry claims he will add 40,000 more troops if he is elected.
How does he propose to do this? with a draft?
If not, why does he think more young people are likely to volunteer for "his" army than for Bush when its an accepted fact that the current all-volunteer army supports Bush overwhelmingly.
"One can only hope they are also so dumb they don't see the need to vote."
And there lies the problem, at one time we had voting requirements designed to insure that only those with a functioning brain voted, we need to reinstate those requirements. We allow people to vote when they barely have the intelligence to find the bathroom unassisted.
"Kerry also claimed that Bush raised taxes on small business people. ANOTHER LIE"
The Democrats only accuse the Republicans of doing what the Democrats are already doing or intend to do shortly.
