It's a weird looking thing.

Do fish normally have a tongue? I find it hard to believe this thing can slither around like a snake on land.

The headline is misleading. WGN covered this story a day or two ago. The fish was NOT caught in Lake Michigan.

Note the article states:
...sharp-toothed fish netted over the weekend in a harbor near Chicago's downtown by a fisherman...

Between snakehead fish and "Alarmed Asian Carp," swimming in China must be awful.

Seriously, I know this is bad news. But the Zebra Mussel has stayed at bay for several years after threatening entire waterways. Maybe we will be equally fortunate with this critter, that numbers will be low enough to keep them manageable.

Now that's one heck of an ugly fish. It can wriggle around on land and eats mammals? Yikes!

I don't know if there are beaches there where people lay out and soak up the sun's rays, but if there are and I lived nearby, I think I would be content with getting an artificial tan!

maybe they can use some chemical to kill these fish without killing other fish, like TFM to control the lamprey eels in the Great Lakes.

A good size muskie, northern pike, or even walleye have better sets of choppers than that thing. It'd only be one gulp for a muskie.
