Dare we hope?

Hmmm...I guess we'll see on election day, though I still have my doubts.

Dims are being urged to travel from "safe" states to battlegrounds, but at this rate, where will they come FROM, and how will they get to all the NEW battlegrounds?

Will they all have to concentrate in MA & DC in the Last Days?

Bush Campaign appearance information for NJ (Monday, Oct. 18th):

Bush to campaign in Evesham
By KATHLEEN CANNON
Burlington County Times

President George W. Bush will campaign in Evesham on Monday, a week after Vice President Dick Cheney did the same in Medford.

The president will appear at a campaign rally at 1 p.m. at the township recreation center on Tuckerton Road, known as the Blue Barn, according to five Republicans sources.

I think as we get closer to election day the fence-sitters out there are gonna think twice about putting John Kerry into the White House. There are many who don't like President Bush, but I think they'll be hesitant to put an indecisive man in his place. Bush will win by a much bigger margin than the prognosticators are saying, and one of the surprise states to go to the President may be New Jersey. The Kerry team is gonna have to spend time there now.

The whole McGreevey/Democratic Party mess has left a bad taste in people's mouths.

Did McGreevey ever actually submit his resignation? Wasn't that supposed to happen sometime in September? Yet, I've heard absolutely no word about it.

Folks,

He was allowed only $70 million to spend post convention. That's it. The talk at the time was the problem he'd face because Bush's convention was a month later and he also gets $70 million. Kerry had to last an extra month.

It's the end of the line now. THIS is why he is pulling ads. This is also why he's offering so many interviews. He HAS to have free TV time. Next we'll hear of him asking staff to work without pay.

I think the teacher commercials are the most effective ad the Dems have had this year. Very convincing with the man talking about how he has a job, but the economy's bad.

The "Bush/Saudi" commercials are a phenomenal waste of money; and they are being countered by the Saudi national commercials by the articulate guy with the English accent quoting from the 9/11 commission report.

OTOH, Bush has a tremendous commercial with a female doc saying she won't be delivering babies any more because of tort lawyers. I understand they don't want to name Edwards and elevate him to the level of Kerry, but really they need to say "like the Dem ticket" or something. These effectively counter the NEA ads.

I think the ultimate commercial would be if you had on tape somewhere, anywhere, Kerry saying the word "nuisance" and overlaid that with pictures of the Khobar Towers and the Cole, etc. The "nuisance" ad that Bush ran was good in that it was timely, but it wasn't that effective in terms of sound or image.

I think you will have Senator Schwartzenegger before too long. It is clear to me that in a show-biz oriented place like CA, you need someone who is appealing, glitzy, and "hip." They can be VERY conservative, but they have to be "hip." It's hard to pull off, but can be done.

I have read no posts here, but some about Bush being up in a poll in Oregon by 3 points. Afghanistan is the reason for this bounce, and a little bit of the debate. John Kerry made a speech today and didn't even mention Iraq or the WOT. That means that arrow is no longer in the quiver. Samarra, Najaf, Mosul, and now Falluja. They can throw as much crap as they want from the left, but the war is going very very well.

I was just trying to share the good news. I didn't mean it as a correction. Sorry.

I was hoping that Dennis Miller would have run this year against Babs "BabyKiller" Boxer, but no luck. I agree with you...any Republican who runs for office in Calif. is going to have to have major star power from now on.

If this is true and he's not talking Iraq, then they have decided to abdicate the issue. Any mention of it helps Bush.
