Anyone else tired of this guy?
"Demise and erosion"? What a twerd.
That damn Martha Stewart: jail is REALLY getting to her!
Not as much as I'm tired of Bill Maher.
Let's talk about the demise and erosion of integrity and decency on cable television.
If the world's demise already has been accomplished, would erosion constitute overkill? Or am I missing this brilliant commentator's brilliant point?
I have a serious question about Hollywood politics-how can these morons, like Kevin Costner, Baldwin, etc., keep making movies that honor America, courage and integrity, like Pearl Harbor and Open Range, and then turn around and not only reject, but ridicule those very values? Don't they ever watch their own movies and consider the possibility that there are people out there who really believe in that stuff? Or do they really believe that goodness and honor is just a fantasy? If so, why does it sell?
Too bad, this guy had a funny show.
But, once they tilt, it's all over. He cuts his own throat in the process. How coould I watch the show knowing I'm going to see a hatchet job on Bush and Republicans and there's gotta be millions of me.
Excellent point. Erosion, one might say, could culminate in demise, at least of an isolated geologic feature. Maybe he just opened the Unabridged and selected words at random?
What I'm tired of is people rewriting headlines just so they bash someone.
Nowhere in the blurb we have in front of us does Jon Stewart say that Bush causes the demise and erosion of the world.
Read it again.
His meaning is clear, if Mr T were president, he'd have plenty of good material but Mr T as president would signal the demise and erosion of the world. He means that he doesn't need Mr T as pres to create jokes. Bush or Kerry would be plenty sufficient. Jeez, he is a comedian, after all. And he pokes mighty good fun at Mr. Kerry (from the little I've seen).
I only hope Bush wins decisively on Nov. 2, then Stewart and all the like-thinking Hollywood dimwits can gnash their teeth all they want. I will celebrate.
Glad we are finally "outing" this Moonbat. Really enjoyed his show until recently....Jon Steward has slipped into Moonbatville.
He had to kiss the ring of the leftists in Hollywood to become recognized and win the Emmys. Too bad, there was plenty of material he could have used without Bush bashing.
His best efforts was when he poked fun at the MSM Evening News. Still a lot of great material available for your writers Jon-bat!
I'm not the only viewer he's lost.
Not that we dont have enough evidence of Hollywood hypocricy and stupidity already, but when speaking of how actors roles in movies may not match their politics...
How about the example about ten years ago or so when some dweep movie producer thought it would be a great idea to cast Vanessa Redgrave, the noted pro-palestinian anti-semitic jew hater, as a Jewish woman prisoner at Auschwitz death camp in the made-for-TV movie Playing for Time.
Many Jews rightfully objected to having to watch a rabid Jew hater and supporter of Palestinian terrorists in a movie recalling the horrors of the Holocaust... but Hollywood never batted an eye.
After all.. these people are ACTORS.. and Hollywood is all about illusion anyway, isn't it......
The answer to your question is:
A) Because they are actors and as such as not terribly bright.
B)Yes, they watch their own movies, but are mostly looking at wardrobe and hair.
C)Nobody should listen to an actor's personal views. If they were healthy, well-adjusted human beings, they'd be in another business.
Stewart, like so many "successful" people in entertainment, doesn't have any idea what running a successful business is all about. If McDonalds treated their "customers" like Stewart/O'Reilly/Mathews and others do they'd say "Hello" to one xustomer then "f you!" to the next one.
The main problem people like Stewart have is that they get "famous" and they think that means they are smart. Only a moron would think that's so. As Stewart shows us.
So answered the "Daily Show" star Jon Stewart when Newsweek asked if he wanted George W. Bush to be president for four more years to aid his comic perspective.
Do you understand now? Asked whether he wanted Bush reelected so that he'd have more material for his jokes, Stewart said, "no, I don't cheer for the demise and erosion of the world purely for my own professional standing."
He clearly wasn't saying Mr. T would cause such erosion and demise.
WOW, what a great contribution to the betterment of mankind (pc=personkind), by a bleeding heart liberal.
S,
Read about that prick who played a Ranger in "Blackhawk Down", then spent his time badmouthing America, soldiers, and Rangers afterwards.
What a d*uche.
