At least Kondracke states flat out the Kerry Kamp coordinated this and calls it what it is, an attack.
Kondracke doesn't like the amendment.

All of this shows what a low opinion they have of conservatives. They actually believe that some conservatives would decide not to vote for Bush because Cheny's daughter is gay. I'm insulted

What? No clever remarks from TerAYsa on Kerry's gratuitous mention of Mary Cheney and her sexual orientation...which is none of his business, by the way. Ah, well, TerAYsa's still mad over his saying he married 'up', way, way 'up', then giggling madly and leaving no doubt he was talking about her money. And then his glaring omission that he loved TerAYsa for herself alone, the dead silence, tick, tick, tick. Kerry will never get past that scene. As Rush said the other day, you can't talk for ninety minutes and not reveal who you are. Kerry proved Rush absolutely right.

I must be living in an alternate universe that Kondracke can say with a straight face that both sides are engaging homophobic passions. Evidentally he thinks the RNC is guilty because Bush is contemplating a constitutional amendment to protect marriage.
So judicial activism is okay with Mort. Maybe I'll marry a parakeet. Why not?
Very disapointed watching Mort on the panel today. Mort's contempt of kerry's statement last night was pretty watered down today, and he tried to say that both sides were doing the same.
I think Mort 'got a call' to temper his instant analysis.
They'll take her off the med's just long enough to show up on election day to vote for Sen. Heinz..........I mean sKerry! LOL.
It became a Dukakis moment instantly. I knew it when I heard that the press in the spin room gave an audible groan when Kerry said it.
Since then it's only gotten worse.
It's done.
The original Dukakis moment(s) (goofy tank pic plus debate) were pre-internet and certainly weren't harped on day in day out. They happened and that was that. This is that times 100, especially since Kerry didn't just goof an answer. He blundered while being vicious.
One more thing....I heard Rush say (and have been meaning to find it) that the New York Times reported on three votes Kerry lost due to this. Rush noted if the Times reports three, just imagine how many are out there.
Another example, as noted on this thread even Mara was taken aback and did not like it (not that Kerry lost her vote, I'm sure, but that doesn't bode well for independents, IMO).
I think this may impact women voters, especially mothers...a mother's first instinct is to protect her child...
