WSJ is NOT conservative. RU paying attention? It is run by Mr Judy Woodruff. Only the Ed board is conservative on this paper.

If you want a real conservative paper, read IBD

The real article is good, but no smoking gun.

Unfortunately, this won't hit the MSM.

We needed a smoking gun.

It's the conservative alternative and just restarted from a few years ago. R. Emmett Tyrrell is one of the editors.

I heard, about 2 weeks ago, that the SBVs were disclosing a photo of Kerry urinating on a US flag. This came from a friend whose father is a former Green Beret with ties to some of the SBVs. I heard that October 15 was the disclosure date.

Bry, thank you for your added knowledge about a possible Digustlingly Vomitous Flag Whizzer. The limited, trustworthy information that I read not too long ago was seared...seared into my little, shiny-hatted, Blondie headed memory (which I realize is NOT the relaying of a very convincing testimonial, LOL.) This gentleman wrote that the incident HAD occurred, and he was looking for someone who had caught it on tape, but NOT that a tape necessarily existed. I realize that my first post regarding this matter was unclear on that distinction. Others commenting on my first post helpfully added that the existence of a TAPE of such an incident had been discussed and pretty much disspelled. I thank those posters very much for their corrections and enlightenment. You write and mention a photo--thanks for your post. The really sad/sick/disheartening part of all of this--true or not--is that MANY AMERICANS (including many of Hairnet Guy's own supporters,) can totally see that in 2004 we have a PRESIDENTIAL candidate who is more than capable of either being PRESENT, but doing NOTHING, to stop a US Flag burning party by his anti-war cohorts, OR, even WORSE, urinating on our beautiful Stars and Stripes. My God, when my father's US Flag gets slightly tattered due to steady, stiff winds coming off of Lake Michigan, we treat it like a baby--folding it properly and then taking it the the local VFW hall, where our local FLAG LOVING Vets so generously make a proper disposal. Orange Face/Hollow Eyes/Hollow Heart/Botox-Use Liar hangs Old Glory UPSIDE DOWN and MOCKS it and sells that MOCKING on the COVER of his book...and has most probably treated it worse. This morning's random observation: On Hairnet Guy's morning, cool-weather bike ride, he had his YELLOW BRACELET on the OUTSIDE of his turtleneck's sleeve...but of course. And when he spotted the camera, he rode over to it like white on rice, pumping his limp-wristed fist. Look for the footage of it, guys. Try not to turn away.

Yep, this isn't going anywhere without some stronger evidence.

Seems to me that they don't have the documents yet but the Sun published the story on the front page anyway because Navy Chief promised it. Knowing Thomas Lipscomb's talents, we may have more soon. (Maybe someone said something like this--threads too long to read anymore.)

Interviewer: Was there ever any question of you getting dishonourably discharged? Kerry: Oh no, no, that has never been questioned.

Was that a denial? Seems to me that he's just affirming that no one has ever questioned the fact that he got a dishonorable discharge. I suppose it depends on what the meaning of IS is...

Not a one-punch knockout, but clearly the first round of a devestating setup.

The WSJ editorial board is conservative but the paper and its reporting is down the middle. Mr Judy Woodruff is Al Hunt and he is the Journal's chief Washington correspondent. He does not run the paper or its editorial board. He is the papers "token" liberal columnist and has an opinion piece in the WSJ every Thursday.

Do you read it? I do. Today's gem was that the new corporate tax breaks were going to shareholders and to pay down debt, not to hire new employees. The libs are clearly running the show there as they do CNBC, which I dont watch much anymore.

Tax Windfall May Not Boost
Hiring Despite Claims

Some Companies Plan to Use
New Break on Foreign Profits
For Debt and Other Needs
By GLENN R. SIMPSON and GREGORY ZUCKERMAN
Staff Reporters of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL
October 13, 2004; Page A1

WASHINGTON -- Big companies long lobbied for a tax cut on their overseas profit as a way to spur U.S. job growth. But now that it has been granted, much of the windfall won't go toward hiring but for such uses as strengthening balance sheets, buying back shares and making acquisitions.

The one-year break, included in a sweeping tax bill that cleared the Senate and went to the president this week, will allow hundreds of billions of dollars in overseas profit to be brought home by dozens of U.S. companies at a steeply reduced tax rate. By some estimates, U.S. companies have parked as much as $500 billion in profit abroad to avoid taxes back home.

Companies say the repatriated money, which would be taxed at a 5.25% rate instead of 35%, will provide stimulus and better position them for hiring in the long run. Software company Oracle Corp., for instance, likely will use some of the billions it will bring home to help finance its aggressive acquisition strategy. Computer maker Hewlett-Packard Co. says it may devote a substantial portion of the several billion dollars it plans to bring back to paying down debt from its purchase of Compaq Computer Corp. -- a transaction that led to layoffs.
