You have brilliantly captured what has been for me a tactic I haven't been able to pin down. I kept saying they were hurling charges, more per minute than I have ever seen, and so fast that it was impossible to address them.

Now I see the tactic and you are so on target, you take my breath away. You sir, are a political genius.

If Bush can stop being the nice guy, and defend himself about kerry's lies, and start attacking Kerry relentless, Bush will win. To beat a liar, he has to receive 'shock and awe'.

Very good: pit Kerry against his own rhetoric. Send this advice to someone who can get it to Bush. I think it is fine, and well-expressed.

That's the key. It has to come from Bush himself, not his handlers after the fact.

I'm not too worried about the debates. Even though the media claimed Kerry won, polls afterward showed little change with W. still with an impresive lead.

This Friday, another basseball game so most folks won't watch the debate.

It sounds so defensive. The President's yesterday speech was devastating. I think he should perform like yesterday regarding Kerry, and talk about his record and his agenda for the next term.

First, it's "madame". :)

As I've read through this thread, my thoughts have distilled down to this:

Attack the TACTIC. The TACTIC is vulnerable...they don't want to cooperate, they just want to tear down. At a time when cooperation is most vital, they've chosen a path of negativity.

Certainly point out Kerry's weak record and inconsistency, but do so in the spirit of debate. Do not get down in the gutter and don't get angry.

Bush should point out that Kerry never seems to work up any anger for the enemy who cuts off heads, blows up schools and commits other such unspeakable horrors. They complain that people are fearful. Point out that it's ADMIRABLE the way the American people have remained steadfast in spite of their fears, we've pushed ahead with improving life at home while defending our freedoms against an unmerciful enemy.

"and talk about his record and his agenda for the next term."

I meant, talk about the President's record and agenda.

Or, better put, I'll tell you why I'm not voting in the presidential election this year.

When you don't vote, you're the one who loses.

To put it another way, who would you rather have pick 2 or 3 supreme court justices - Bush or Kerry ? Does that help put it in perspective for ya ?

All I say is I hope W wins the debate, the tides have turned in the last few weeks. It needs to be clear.

I'm in the middle class and I'm doing better than ever.

I'm not, but at least I'm honest enough to admit that it's because I spent more than I made. If it were not for my monthly debt, I would be saving TONS of money every month.

As for substance, it's great. The only problem would be delivery. Unless it's on a teleprompter, Bush would mangle it and it could prove to be as dangerous as a loaded gun in the hands of a kid. It would be just our luck, quarter of the way through Bush's memory would 'lock up' and he'd resort to repeating over and over again his old standby "it's hard work".

I don't think debates will win anything

They might as well have a beauty contest or a spelling bee. A debate won't decide this election - barring some bizzare event. Even if Kerry is a better debater - so what. He's going to lose. They know it. That's why they're tearing down signs and invading Republican headquarters.

I don't like your title.

Other than that, I believe President Bush is going to win, most likely, by double didgits, in some places.
He is very capable of saying what you offered. And it is true. I doubt he will though.

Somehow the advisors are not listening to the people. Yes, I know. One or two of them are supposed to be monitoring this site. But are they? And will the information get to the right advisor?

I think an out and out school-yard fist fight would suffice!
I'd rather see that, than school-yard quibbling, on the stage!
You see, this is how bad the dems have gotten.
They yeah, no, yeah, no, yeah, no, and speak like we're on the school-yard.

One good "pop" on the nose and it would really open the debate!

Australians have stood side-by-side with Americans in every major conflict since we became a nation. Not because we always believe what the USA believes, but simply because we are mates. If a mate gets into a fight, we don't care who started it or why, we just start swinging, and ask questions later. That's what mates do.

Spot on target mate ! Aussies are the loyalist friends the US ever had. We appreciate you and your countrymen !

THEIR TACTICS: Show disdain and disrespect.
call Bush a liar (misleader). Lie about his record, misquote him,,,"

etc. Yep. Straight out the old communist party handbook. One does what one believes in. Komrad Kerry is well trained. (and the Communist party and Socialist Party of America have both endorsed him.
(Sometime, Cheney or Bush aught to remark, "Now I can see why the Communist Party - "etc have endorsed my opponent...

I notice on his resumes - including on the U.S. Senate website - he doesn't list his years of schooling in private schools in Europe, where he got his formative years indoctrination - forming him into what he calls "an Internationalist" - who firmly believes, right down to his manacled toes (yuk!) that, (from 11 Feb 2004 - Harvard's Crimson Tide)quote:
“I’m an internationalist,” Kerry told The Crimson in 1970. “I’d like to see our troops dispersed through the world only at the directive of the United Nations.”
This was published this past Feb when he was running in the primaries. The Interview Reveals "A More Radical John Kerry
The Crimson reported Kerry called for U.N. control of troops in 1970"
By ZACHARY M. SEWARD
Crimson Staff Writer

Quote:
Ten months after returning home from Vietnam, a young John Kerry strolled into the offices of The Harvard Crimson on Feb. 13, 1970 as an obscure underdog in the Democratic Congressional primary. ...
... almost 34 years later, Kerry’s remarks on American military and intelligence operations vastly diverge from opinions expressed by the present-day Sen. John F. Kerry, D.-Mass., the leading candidate in the Democratic primary for president.“I’m an internationalist,” Kerry told The Crimson in 1970. “I’d like to see our troops dispersed through the world only at the directive of the United Nations.” Kerry said he wanted “to almost eliminate CIA activity " unquote

http://www.thecrimson.com/article.aspx?ref=357339

Now, either Komrad Kerry still believes this - "Global Test" - (which, of course he does,) or, if he claims not, then FLIP FLOP again. This would put his Global Test meaning out there for all to see.
email the link to EVERYONE - Drudge, Rush, Hannity, Fox, --- if they get enough emails on the same thing, they'll think it's getting to be common knowledge and wont want anyone to beat them to the scoop. Gotta play the media game, even when it's our side.
I'd like to see someone, like Sean H. and Rush, Marc Racicot, chairman RNC, at BushCheney04@GeorgeWBush.com etc., quote this article and then explain why Kerry has socialist "tendencies" i.e., formative years abroad with daddy diplomat who was a communist sympathizer (look up his writings) - and spent his young years in European schools - i.e. socialist.
We don't need to use communist tactic of lie and smear - we just need to tell the truth - it's worse than anything we could make up! : )

Make no mistake, We are not fighting against decent factions. These are truly evil people who are committed to taking America down - turning our sovereignty over to the UN - who also has put into place a "World Court" where even our soldiers/Marines could be hauled into the Hague for trial - (Bush has refused to sing on - but Kerry WILL) - who wants International gun control (they know it works. It worked for Hitler - the first step he took in Poland, making it then possible to invade - his boot in the door...and the UN wants an International tax! WE are at a crossroads in world history, make no mistake.. This is not just another election for democrat or republican. This is for freedom or subjugation. Take a look at what socialism has done to Canada: need heart surgery? get on a waiting list - up to 2 years. Gun control...ah, yeah, they got it. Taxes? half their pay check. etc. We gotta fight for freedom...but if we win this fight, that'll give us four more years to beat back the darkness, beat the rats back into their dark caves - maybe dynamite the entrances. : ) We can't relax if we win - that's only the beginning. We have to get voting only with photo ID and Soc. Sec. card, NO !, or we may never win another election - if we manage to pull this one off over the rampant fraud going on right now. Read the Crimson piece - get the emails out. We're the"boots on the ground" - let's roll

(Why didn't you drown Kerry's sister while you had her down there? Are 'foreigners' supposed to interfere in national politics?)
