Absolutely! So why don't the voting officials understand that????? It's nuts!

Lemme guess.

Election Commission officials are Democrats, hence...

Democrat = Democracy = No I.D. Required

Republican = Republic = I.D. Required

Or something like that...

Why isn't the FBI looking into this ? They could start with local ACORN offices in Milwaukee.

If they aren't, they SHOULD BE!

One of my friends was running for office as the Clerk/Registrar of our county. Of course I supported his effort and was happy to see him elected into that office.

Well, turns out he was the Democrat's democrat (which hadn't seemed an issue in a non-partisan office...HA!) and not long after he took office there was a big argument in the county over registration of college kids. I know in my heart that he did what he could to further corrupt the system (even though he may not have viewed it in that way) but it was under his watch that the records stopped being purged of voters who had moved or no longer lived in a particular precinct. The cards we had received regularly to prove we still lived at a particular address were no longer coming. In the very transient college climate, this is a huge issue!

I am sure he followed the regulations and interpretation of law that were passed down from the top (state level) but I am really bothered by the fact that he never appeared to clear things up. It was under him that my mom stayed on the polls in more than one precinct for years! I didn't realize until much later, but it was shocking to find she had never been purged.

With computers the capability is there to cross check and question duplications and obvious errors. We have to work harder to hold people to account for these problems! These things just didn't happen...they were allowed and encouraged to happen!

Not trying to be a downer here, but it's more serious than this.

Except that this doesn't prevent Absentee fraud. ANYONE can ask and recieve an UNLIMITED amount of Absentee ballots. So they throw out those who actually DO vote at the polls, the rest will get through.

AT the voter i.d. hearing in Milwaukee following the 2000 election, Milwaukee D.A. E. Michael McCann gave testimony that he didn't want voter i.d. One of his reasons??? His wife knew all the regulars that worked at their polling location and she wouldn't want them to know how old she was!!!! If the D.A. is that oblivious, what can you possibly expect from the rest of the election officials?

We need Republican poll watchers in every urban precinct in every swing state. We also need strong republican precincts to hold back their votes until the urban ones are done.

Will they accept a signed death certificate as ID? Or is that only valid in Detroit?

Is it going to take a federally mandated - no approved picture ID - no vote - before we can better safeguard voting ..??

And .. what I have always wondered .. why can't we require absentee votes sooner than we do, and why can't they require an in-person appearance for every absentee voter?

Part of the problem is the secret ballot. How far are we willing to go before it's no longer a secret ballot.

I don't know what the answers are .. but I sure have a lot of questions.

All it will take is some really serious penalties for vote fraud - like, a 10 year minimum jail sentence - and a few convictions, with lots of publicity and many mommies wailing that he was a good boy and it's so unfair and why can't we just this and that and WAAAAAAAAhhhh... and all of a sudden all the schumer will miraculously cease.

Making everyone carry ID and provide ID and get their ID tattooed on them and this and that and the other, is just more Socialist garbage - it assumes everyone is a criminal until they prove they're not, basically, thereby hammering everyone down to the lowest common denominator in true Socialist fashion.

Instead of punishing and restricting everyone, we need to grab the miscreants and really do a number on them. The same could be said for *a lot* of "prior restraint" legislation that we've got in place.

But we'll have to harden our hearts to the wailing mommies who want us to think poor Junior or Daddy or whoever, just "made a mistake"....

The admin knows this is a problem. If they fiddle in DC while this is going on, and lose, then they deserve to lose.

Agreed! It is a felony to vote illegally isn't it? This should be investigated and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. People need to know how seriously against the law voter fraud is so they will stop doing it on a mass scale. This is a very important issue.

Hmmmm, voter fraud, Bush/Chaney and Republican offices ransacked, the media issuing false and misleading statements and documents. Sounds like Germany in the 1933

It also takes a strong public outcry to cause the rather-not-prosecute elected/appointed officials to even persue/prosecute this case. They aren't doing it now, despite overwhelming evidence.

"They should require ID at all polls!"

A couple of years ago, the New Hampshire legislature passed a law requiring ID cards in order to vote. It was vetoed by then Governor Jean Shaheen, RAT.

Voter fraud and single-issue conservative voters are the only things keeping the liberal RAT party close to power.

Regarding the idea of keeping dead beats out, I would like to clarify this. If they are truly dead then they should be kept out. Democrats are not dead beats by definition. We should have nothing against any single man or woman, regardless of party, voting once on election day. I applaud any individual who, after having made a conscious personal decision to make the effort, walks or drives to the local polling place to peacefully take part in the democratic process. This is the central rite of the republic.

My problem is with aggressive voter registration of people who could care less and would not make the effort on their own. Its disgusting how local politics now means rounding up the indigent and breathing, cajoling them with cigarettes, driving them in mini-vans to the polls and sending them in with a verbal que to vote for the democrat-only to drop them back in some dark alley when its over. Even more problematic is the tendency of the democratic party to take it upon themselves to vote as proxy for the dead, the relocated, the canine and the non-existent.

This now happens in every election cycle. It's usually the democrats' machine doing it and its concentrated in urban areas. Donna Brazil and company were the masterminds of this effort in at least six major urban centers in 2000 after the Friday night Bush DUI expose. That is where the real attempt to "steal" the election took place. We need a national system...one person...one vote...proper ID and self-motivation-end of story.
