Fine by me.

(I'm just saying the Sox will always be cursed by something.)

Good for you! The road past the Twins has to go past Santana, Radke and probably Joe Nathan. That ain't gonna be an easy proposition.

Doesn't matter who wins the AL Pennant. A National League team will win the World Series this year.

GO ASTROS!!! (who happen to be the hottest team in baseball right now, just like the Marlins were last year).

We were talking about the Astros, but I did put all the dreamon keywords in there to help out.

What a great year for the Red Sox and the Patriots. I just hope the Yankees are able to survive the Twins so the Red Sox can have the pleasure of beating them personally.

My father was born in Boston in April of 1921. Every season since he could read, he followed the Red Sox with the emotion of a desert prophet. Every season they broke his heart. My father passed away this January at the age of 82. He is now in heaven (or so I pray). Perhaps finally, he can have a say in how his beloved Red Sox fare. God Bless Them.

Maybe some of the big names will actually get some hits in the playoffs. You know how the post season Astros have been lately.
I hope this year is different.

I despise what Bartman did in that game but he is not the reason the Cubbies lost. An error in the field followed this incident (by the shortstop I believe) and the Cubs still had a Game Seven in which to win. In short, the Cubs choked!

Ain't going to happen! The Red Sox have been cursed since trading Babe Ruth to the Yankee's in 1918. They will find a way to choke!

The Red Sox win the World Series? I'll believe it when I see it! Kind of like Sasquatch, UFOs, principled RINOs, honest Democrats, etc.

No. That will be in 2018. That will be the 100 year anniversary of the trading of The Babe to the Yankees, so the owner could finance a Broadway play. Can anyone name the name of the play the owner of the Redsox financed by trading The Babe? Full disclosure I'm a Met fan, who hates both the Yankees, and Boston in general. I often root for the Redsox to get to the Series, because I know they won't win it and a National League team will. It's a very complicated formula, having to do with the DH. Many can sympathize, especially Tug McGraw fans.

LOL...I really like the Red Sox.

In fact, they are my second favorite team. As a life-long New Orleans Saints fan, I can relate (somewhat) to the agony that is The Curse.

Speaking of which, the latest chapter in the Curse will be written as follows: Red Sox vanquish the hated Yankees in the ALCS...only to lose to my Astros in the World Series.

In 7 games.

With, of all people...

Roger Clemens the winning pitcher of Game 7.

Ah the fickle finger of Fate...

That's what I though when the Chargers/Falcons reached the super bowl, and then when the Pat's won I thought that surely the end was near.

Pffft! A football game? Ridiculous.

Unseen forces exist in the game of baseball, magic and demigods and ghosts and poltergeists; but there are none in football, and hence no curses.

Read Chabon's Summerland to learn more.

A baseball game is nothing but a great slow contraption for getting you to pay attention to the cadence of a summer day.
