Please check the record--- please check before you jump---was a sweep in ca.
>>We saw Zell Miller this year....
LOL. Good point. However, I did say "honest Democrats". A second one might be harder to find.
I suppose so. I should have mentioned the Padres but they kept the Cubs out of the series, thank God.
bookmark bump...
You might want to take that up with the Dodgers who are at this moment down 6-0.....
These Cardinals are smacking some balls and kicking some bootay!
I just remember 1987.... the Cards were playing the Dodgers in Game Six at Chavez Ravine. Late in the game the Dodgers had a one run lead, Cards batting with men on second-and-third and Jack Clark up. Niedenfuer pitching, and Lasorda elects to pitch to Clark with first base open. BAM! Three-run dinger to put the Cardinals in the World Series (this after Niedenfuer had given up a homer to Ozzie Smith (!!!!) to lose Game Five also). Lasorda was fit to be tied when asked why he let Neidenfuer pitch to Clark.....
Truthfully I don't think the Dodgers have enough offense to win this series........
Huh? The Sox swept the Angels and the A's in early September.
Pat Cadell
How's about that Mayor in Ohio who backed Bush?
Things is starting to look good.
>Things is starting to look good.
Maybe I'm all turned around on this issue. Perhaps I should re-examine voting for Democrats? Kerry, maybe?
Actually, me voting for a politician from Boston is as likely as me rooting for a baseball team from Boston. As you can probably gather from my screen name I have been an avid Yankee fan my whole life beginning about the time Ted Williams retired.
This is from the same sportswriters that:
1) write off the Yankees every year.
2) similarly write off the Braves
3) think that it's trendy to have a Red Sox-Cubs World Series.
They will never learn, will they?
8 to nothing Bosox
why not us? Game seven tomorrow!
Isn't it awfully late this year?
The Cardinals will win this series in a romp. It may even be a 4 game sweep
Cardinals in 6!!!
With that POS pitching staff? The Sox had more runs, they wear out pitching staffs and outside of your big 4 what do you have?
Truer words were never spoken...
I'll take the Cardinals in seven.
The Sox beat a weaker version of the team that got slaughtered in last years series. The National League is much stronger than the American and the Cards ran away with it. Besides, there's the curse
