The Free Republic Loose Change Club

Exit148's Loose Change Club is an excellent way to become a Free Republic donor, especially when the budget is squeezed (and mine has been squeezed many times in the past!).

As a member the Loose Change Club, I now keep a 16 oz plastic cup on my desk and toss some of my loose change into it daily. During the past few FReepathons, it's totaled between $10 and $20 per quarter, and I use that to supplement my monthly donation. I will count up my loose change later this week and send a check.

Some may believe that a "small amount" of loose change wouldn't make a difference. But as Exit148 (and my own experience) has shown, it can add up quickly.

For those who aren't comfortable with making an automatic monthly donation via credit card, the Loose Change Club is a way to make a "monthly" donation during the Freepathons. Think of it this way, just $10 of loose change saved per quarter is equivalent to a donation of over $3 per month. Remember MonroeDNA's challenge? And Grampa Dave's?

I would like to challenge Freepers and Lurkers who are not currently donating to give the Loose Change Club a try. Your donation will make a difference! And be very much appreciated!
