The checks will be in the mail Monday.
GO TEAM !!!!
Hugh Hewitt's website has a list of these races.
Sent my fourth donation to the Swiftvets today (although my wife keeps getting the thankyou cards - very frustrating, but her name's first on the checks) - after Bush's performance the other night it looks as though if he's to win this election, it's going to be pretty much through the efforts and to the credit of the Swift Boat guys.......
Bush can advertise with GOP. You saw those ads, didn't you? "President Bush and leaders on the congres...." They share ads 50/50. It is a backdoor that Karl Rove has figured out. Moreover, GOP can advertise on behalf of Bush also independent of $75 million matching funds.
I prefer to donate to Bush/Cheney as opposed to the RNC. Yes, we need to help. :)
Donations to Bush/Cheney go to their legal fund after the nomination. They can't use that for anything other than for legal purposes. GOP donations can be used for anything.
The problem with donating to the GOP or the RNC (and the reason I never do) is that they use it to fund GOP candidates anywhere in the nation ... NOT necesssarily Bush. That is not for me.
That is also the reason I do not donate to the GOP in California ... but to the candidate. Much better IMO.
From Bush's site:

"The Bush-Cheney '04 Compliance Committee needs your support to ensure compliance with federal law for general election legal and accounting services. Will you make your contribution today?"
Both Bush and Kerry are accepting $75 million federal funds. So they can't use anything other than government money once they had had their conventions. Any money you donate to either candidate goes to their legal fund, which they use it as stated above.
You don't have to donate to GOP. There are 527s like Swift Vets, Club for Growth, etc.
(The Kehoe household donated to the RNC, W. and the Swift Boasts yesterday).

I will donate money to Bush ... never the party.
Go to georgewbush.com, and then click on Donate. That is where the link will take you.
You still haven't understood what people are saying on this thread. AFTER the CONVENTIONS, Bush and Kerry are limited to $75 million from the government.
Great idea, Cableguy. I'll ping a few FRiends here, too.
ping!
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my infrequent miscellaneous ping list.
I have read the whole thread. You are the ONLY one griping. You are not winning me over. GO AWAY!
First of all, this is my thread, and you replied to me. Second, go to Bush's website, and click on "Donate" and see for yourself. And lastly, I won't write what I was going to write.
Why not write what you were going to write? Was it really disgusting. If you think I'm on the other side you have a point. But I'm not. I will donate where I want to donate. Stop insisting that I do EXACTLY what you want me to do.

"While they can no longer raise campaign money for themselves, the two can accept donations to campaign legal compliance funds and can fund-raise for their national party committees, which can spend unlimited amounts supporting them"

I will donate when and where I decide, newbie. Can't you be joyous that I donate to Bush? Or am I for Kerry? I feel sorry for your long suffering wife.
