I should have been more clear.
Lots of things exist in laws, but, as you have stated, the laws themselves violate the law of the land.
Health care for the @#$%^&* world! Guess who pays for it? The next time you go in for treatment and require a tylenol, they'll up the price to $30 a tablet.

Does this tax money pay only for illegal alien care or anyone who does not have insurance?
Illegal aliens- A privledged class -
Two words for citizens: Collection Agency
After all, you've already paid for the visit.
Do you have to look mexican to qualify? What if your mexican and you are a legal alien, will our tax money still pay?
Will they ask people who do not look mexican if they are a legal citizen?
Now that they will not ask their citizenship status, will they pick and choose who qualifies for our tax money?
We are indeed screwed -
-another ping-
Sure, no hospitals should turn away a medical emergency, but no hospitals should have to eat a bill from an untraceable illegal alien either. Pretty soon there is no more hospital.
Demanding that ER personnel, who lack any arrest authority and who are stressed enough, demanding that they assume a responsibility for which they have no training and would rec' no support for assuming...is demanding that the ER shut down. ER nurses are not cops.
If you want the law enforced (I badly want it enforced)-- get law enforcement to enforce the law. If they won't, the nurses can't.
Illegal aliens (millions of them) in California use emergency rooms like doctor's offices because they know they can get free care there. A citizen who has an acute problem often has to wait for care while the ER doctor treats the children of an illegal alien for runny noses. Several California hospital emergency room/trauma care facilities have closed because of the financial burden illegal aliens place on our system.
They should NOT be allowed to use ERs as doctor's offices, and we should not have to pay the bills (billions of dollars) for them.
OK, you are right Mamzelle.
