Bill Handel of radio station KFI had a show one morning about people who let their 12 year-old kids go to nudist colonies. He defined the numbers and kept talking about how many children were going to these nudist colonies.

I wondered what he was up to.

Then he asked if we knew how many lawsuits had been filed concerning sexual mistreatment of the young girls and boys. The answer: ZERO

Then he said, "How many lawsuits have been filed for sexual mistreatment of young boys and girls against the Catholic Church?"

It's safer to send your 12 year old daughter or son to a nudist colony than it is to send them to church?

ZING.....

I laughed my butt off.....it's not valid reasoning, but I'm sure a few people burned their toast that morning.

Well, I realize this sounds incredibly sactimonious, but people are supposed to be able to tell you are a Christian by your acts, not by how you decorate your cubicle.

That all depends upon what your definition of sexual mistreatment is.

That analogy would be like Planned Parenthood coming to a public school chalked full of 100% "pro-choicers" in order to tout the benefits of abortion. How many complaints would that trigger to the school board? ZERO

My point is that nudist-camp families are already tainted; their definition of what constitutes sexual mistreatment is already going to be on a different plane if not different planet. Their definition of age of consent is also likely to be quite younger, and ya better believe that the younger members of such a family are also likely heavily ingrained with that view of the world.

Finally, some counselors are starting to make the claim that intentional, prolonged immodesty introduced to children can and in and of itself be a form of sexual mistreatment. This was a new concept for me; but I partially agree with them.
