LOL
ill get ya a fez man
i was trying to figure how to say it without saying something really stupid you know?
not happening right now...
Sounds to me like the emphasized word is "right". Another post confirmed his focus on the timing of the revolt. Another post confirmed later timing might be preferable.
If there is unrest happening in Iran, the mullahs are going to learn this from their internal security. It is not plausible that they don't know it from their internal security, but then surf the web and find out about it. And you don't honestly believe that.
Exactly the point. What they may not be aware of, without your help, is how the US may be positioning itself to deal with a threat. Wouldn't it make more sense to simply end this conversation? You go your way, thinking Mike is an idiot, and Mike goes his way, either a fraud or shill or honest man. The only damage that can be done here, beyond to your ego, is to harm American troops. The only good that can be done here is to let this conversation end.
You did not succeed.
But like I said, I could be wrong.

Acrually, the Bolshevik Revolution in October 1917 was precisely an OVERTHROW of the previously-successful populist uprising, which had caused the Tsar to abdicate in March 1917 AND which had free elections in April 1917 (ALL WHILE LENIN WAS AWAY IN SWITZERLAND).
Consequently, in a very real sense the Communists had very little to do directly with overthrowing the Tsarist government, but simply stole power seven months later from a freely-elected government.
sorry, I'm only human. If I weren't, I'd be a saint.
apparently you and pbrown are the only 2 who think that...
and you would be wrong too sir....
DC, you are too smart for our own good.
nudge, nudge, wink, wink...
Clashes as Iran Islamic fund fails
One person was killed and 18 injured in clashes in Iran linked to the collapse of an Islamic loan fund in Nourabad, Iranian state television has reported.
The violence is reported to have taken place after angry customers protested outside state offices in the city.
The Zolfaghar-Ali fund was declared bankrupt, leaving some customers unable to reclaim funds they had deposited.
One report said Nourabad residents had 360bn riyals ($41m; £23m) tied up in the fund.
Vulnerable
A Fars state official told Iranian television that security forces had intervened to quell the protests and calm had been restored.
Damage was caused to some buildings by "a group of agitators and opportunists", said Abdollah Shahasani, head of political affairs in the office of the Fars governor general.
He said the fund's managers had been arrested and a special committee was investigating customer complaints.
Similarly structured Islamic funds allow depositors after several months to take interest-free loans of double the amount deposited.
Fund managers invest the cash deposited but can be vulnerable to a run on the fund if too many depositors try to take loans or withdraw their deposits at once.
Several such funds have collapsed in recent months, causing street protests, AFP news agency said.

wildandcrazyrussian, you are also too smart for our own good.
See? I told ya I was wrong! (Sh*t! I sound like Kerry now.)
Be a little more direct.
I spent an entire year in Esfahan in 1978 and left just as the revolution was beginning - thank you Jesus! The Iranians are passionate people but the evil incarnate, Khomeini, eliminated all opposition via the firing squads and kangaroo justice. Now a new generation of Iranians will take the country back. Liberte'!
LOL
I didn't mean to be offensive DC. I thought you wrote a great rebuttal and I was trying to commend you.
I reviewed your comments and couldn't get where you were coming from. No harm done.
Hopeful. This would be so wonderful.
Anybody know if there are any blogs in Iran?
Hey Mike, get DC a fez too. Something with a fluffy tassle.
Mike, i said I was sorry. Jeez, do you want me to open a vein? Subject closed. I shall mosey along.
