Ideally, I'd like to see it's mangled remains placed at the base of the Vietnam War Memorial, but I'd settle for major chunks of it verifiably removed and brought to the wall.

Make them guard it 24 x 7........ I wonder if the booming metropolis of Nelson is up for that?

The "monument" is no joke. Reported last week. If Kerry wins this election, expect to see a similar edifice here in the states.

I think a better solution is to suggest to the Canadians that unless they think their half dozen or so fighter jets can defend one of the largest (in terms of square miles) nations in the world, that they should consider finding some new allies to defend them. . . perhaps the French.

Normally I agree....but outrageous actions require outrageous reactions sometimes. Make them guard it.....at great cost......the delicious irony would not be lost on the taxpayers of Nelson, most of whom are probably not amused at this proposed statue....and would even be well-placed to collect prize.
