Bill is a climber ...he has always been about himself .... he understands the market place of his biz and exploited it to his benefit. I wrote him off years ago.

I've said from the very begining, Bill is a populist..."
Correctomundo. A populist opportunist. He is hawking his liberal side because conservatives have soured on him so of late.

I know. And now with the hurricane it is even more so. I live in Central Florida (Brevard County) Melbourne/Palm Bay and everyone is asking me how it is going and asking about their relatives and property. As long as I have power I will continue to reassure them.

It appears that Jeanne is the least dangerous of the hurricanes to pass through. Rush Limbaugh was peeved about it on Friday morning when he came on the air. He kept saying, "I'm sick of these hurricanes."

Actually Rush was wrong. They say it is actually going to be worse than Frances (which I rode out too). The winds are really bad right now and the rains are going to cause flooding here. I just looked outside and the trees look like they are ready to take off. In Frances we lost parts of roofs, trees, street lights, etc. No gas to be had for days. Stores closed. But all in all it's not as bad as living in California and not knowing when an earthquake could hit.

No. I was guessing on the hurricane. Rush was just tired of them hitting Florida. I can't blame him. You've had enough down there. Wouldn't you say so?

I guess it could be a lot worse..Category 5. It's pretty wild out there right now. Have to keep filling up my bathtub since it leaks. Need the water if the electricity goes out to flush to toilets. Just took my puppy out and had to practically stand out in the gusts before he ventured out. Now all is fine for another few hours. The power is flickering here, might end up losing electricity. Oh well, what is life without its challenges? Wouldn't appreciate the good times otherwise.

O'R used to say: The powerful protect each other, and I'm here to look out for you.
It's been a long time since I've heard him say that. Maybe since he got his $20 million dollar contract with Fox.
He's now one of the "powerful".

Yes he is a big disappointment. He was hiding all that time trying to make us believe he was a Conservative. I am so mad at him for this. He can kiss my a$$. I will not believe his tripe again!

My theory on O'Reilly has ALWAYS been that he played conservative at FNC until his ratings took off then his true liberal stripes came out once his was the king of cable. It was confirmed for me when he refused to take Dan Rather to task for the whole forged memo kerfuffle.

Maybe I'm missing something but you moved out, right? In you own 'residence'? He is still in house, right? The house is his 'residence?'
NO newscaster, who bills (no pun intended) himself as "objective" should be announcing his political or ideological leanings especially on 60 Minutes. Why would he even appear on 60 Minutes or anything else? Bill O'Reilly is so full of himself that he fancies HIMSELF as being news. I dont know of any anchor that has ever given an interview of himself and, if so, included his social or political beliefs.
Oh Reilly is so desperate to be accepted, while trying to pretend that he is indeed his own man, that he's living a schitzo life. You can see it every night on his show (something I will no longer do.)
His BS line to anyone who appears on his show is that "you're a stand up guy" was making me sick. Liberals know that he's a sucker for being accepted so they have been coming on his show lately in droves (Naomi Wolfe?? Did anyone see THAT the other night?)
They get to go on his show, hawk their books and nauseate us with their idiotic, insipid liberal talking points and he's clueless. All because he wants to be accepted. Well congrats, Bill, you're now accepted the problem is that you've lost your core audience. The one who at least believed that no matter what you believed you wouldnt be stupid enough to open your mouth.

Apparently "populist" means stupid.

My God, I just re-read the excerpt. He called Kerry a "PATRIOT"? My God, My God, My God. JFKerry is traitor, he had not done one patriotic thing in his ENTIRE life and that INCLUDES his "tour" of Vietnam; the only thing Kerry Kerry used to have to hang his beret, er, hat on.
