But... But... The Republicans... They're the party of the rich and elite... aren't they?

Doesn't she know that that $1 million will go straight into the economy and, therefore, make Bush look good? What she should do is liquidate all of her investments, stop her lavish spending, and put her cash under her mattress until after the election.

Can they write it off as a tax loss after November 3?

I am sure if they can they will. Some would say most political types are crooks anyway, and expected.

Have you ever noticed how these elite rich people always give more money to Democrats then they do to charities that actually help poor people?

What a hoot, one comes up with an excellent title the nest builds on kinda like telephone in the first game. By the end you have one heck of story.

We seem to be doing an equally good job.

I agree. If Soros and all the other touchy-feely billionaires and millionaires want to throw their money into a DNC rat hole I say let them. All the Hollywood idiots can too. It's not going to help Lurch enough to get him elected.

I get satisfaction knowing that my very modest (and comparatively almost nonexistent) contribution to George W Bush will do more good than the millions they're all throwing at Lurch. Now THATS justice. :)

Oh, and there is no excuse with poor spelling. I would like to blame it on fatigue but that would be passing the buck.

Type a bit slower and make the spell your friend!

First I wanted to *ping* this article to those who might find it of interest. As one post said, if they can't win they scheme (#18) You will find terrific posts on this thread.

Secondly, I was sent a note asking me where this was on the NYT front page. It was inside the online site. From the way the freeper phrased his/her concerns it lead me to believe you can only post a) front page items ONLY on front-page. B) editorial on the editorial section and so on.

Although I have been a Freeper for well more years then I care to say (it makes one feel older) and perhaps I have been laxed in my posts.

Anyway, I feel like the guy from The New Republic that wrote far more fiction then none fiction. When he was fired the big boss read through each of the old magazines to clean up the mess.

I surely do not hope FR will impose the same punishment. Yet if I have mislead anyone on this thread I am sorry.

You know I have gone to look at the guidelines several times and it does not clearly state that and frankly when a poster reads it they can add an additional forum.

No excuses, but, if you have any thoughts or want to hit me with a wet noodle, I stand ready.

Again many excellent posts. Thank you for allowing my rant.
