True, but if I was Muslim, and I read even a few of the posts on here, I would never vote Republican either.

Hear, hear!

Call me cynical, but if we need the Muslim vote to win, we are hurting a lot worse than I think we are.

Buh-BYE indeed.

It is very difficult for them to denounce jihadist terrorism because their prophet engaged in the same actions. Their holy book advocates beheadings for infidels. The Koran requires Muslims to engage in jihad with infidels if they do not convert or accept dhimmitude (unbelievers agreeing to live under Islmic law).

For the "moderate" Muslim community to publicly condemn the actions of terrorists would be to condemn the literal practice of Islam. This religion is facing a serious crisis, in my opinion.

As long as they walk out of the USA in the process, that's fine with me.

After 9/11, the large Seik community in my area had numerous demonstrations denouncing terrorists. They carried their American flags and proclaimed their love of America.

They don't want kindness. They want surrender.

A few voices are not effective weapons against Muslim extremists. Where are the masses of people? We have seen them in anti-American and anti-Israeli demonstrations throughout the Muslim world. If there is a "Muslim Nation," where is the attempt to organize the kind of opposition that will root out and destroy the terrorists within that nation?

The best thing The Islamists living here could do is join the fight against terror or just shut the hell up.

Why? So they can frag us when we have let our guard down?

" Of course, the main difference is that the Moslem vote did go heavily GOP in 2000. "

Heavily? Really?

Have you seen the statements of CAIR? Do you know how many Muslims they represent? It is about time denunciations have begun - 9/11 happened three years ago. Another far more powerful condemnation was issued recently by the Free Muslim Coalition. It is refreshing, but hardly commonplace. If only the self-flagellation on the scale of Abu Gharaib and the cries of the "world community" for America to denounce the actions of our soldiers there would occur within the Muslim community. If only the world would demand such a repudiation as they did from President Bush, I would believe that there is actual outrage. Unfortunately Abu Gharaib pales in comparison to what the Muslim terrorists inflict upon innocents every day and we are still apologizing. Let them vote for Democrats.

But no matter how you slice it, to condemn acts of violence against infidels is to condemn the actions of the prophet and the Koran itself.

Muslims have declared jihad against Hinduism, Christianity, and Judaism and even Islam (for non-Arabs). To accept Islam as a religion of peace, there needs to be evidence and the existence of Muslims who do not follow the dogma does not suffice.

I think it was predictable, if the Al Jazeera phone poll (linked story below) has any substance. Proves that Kerry is their gateway to their agenda in America, contrary to some moderate Islamics who would have you believe that the majority of the silent Islamics are against their terrorist brothers.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1225356/posts?page=14#14

Here's a quote from a link in the reply on that post:

"Al Jazeera, the most widely watched Arabic television channel, conducted a telephone poll during its top debating program, the Other Direction. In it, 93 percent of viewers said they approved of kidnapping foreigners in Iraq — even though by then, one of the two American hostages had been decapitated."

It would not surprise me if an anonymous poll were conducted amongst Islamics in America, the percentage would closely match that of the AJ poll.

I think you missed my point. I don't believe the Muslims would join the fight in the first place. and since they have not they should just shut the hell up.

I love it. "Where's the condemnation?" There's condemnation, from Sistani's office even. "That's not enough!!!"

Just like Gore flip-flopping on the standards for chads.

You're right. They'd have to revise their holy book and forever excise the parts that feed radical Muslims. As long as the Koran contains those extreme teachings, there will be radical Muslims. It has always been so. Some Muslims will choose to follow the "good" parts of the Koran that teach brotherhood, kindness and love. There will always be those who will choose to follow the parts that advocate cruelty, oppression and murder.

not only that, but they are more worried about their precious 'civil rights' than the nation's security....they absolutely hate the President's support of Israel...and they, curiously, are extremely quiet on the subject of Islamic terrorism....

Dogs are drawn to puke. Stands to reason they would migrate to Democrats.

It is instructive to see how Islam condones suicide bombings and slaughter of innocents. Very informative.

How would you feel if followers of your religion did this in the name of your religion. Methinks you might have something to say about that. I know I sure would.

Hear, hear!

I love the irony of being proved right by the simple fact of people attacking me for what I said.

I actually never stated, "That's not enough!!!" referring to the condemnation from Sistani's office - please re-read the post. You obviously missed the point of it and if you respond, please respond to my comments with them in their proper context.

Thanks.
