Good points. However, I was letting kiwiseed know that the scare tactics used on MTV recently are a lie. Others in this thread have pointed out that if any party is for a draft, it's the 'RATS.

Bush is not going to send more troops--at least not for combat purposes. He may want to establish a permanent base in Iraq to keep an eye on Iran, and that may require more troops, but the war is winding down from our perspective, and our troops will be less and less involved in policing Iraq. The Iraqis are simply going to have to deal with this problem by themselves.

I am sure that Iraq will continue to be a hotbead for terrorism for decades. This is why the Arabs did not want to confront the terrorists to begin with: They knew that it would be like this. On the other hand, 911 showed us that we cannot ignore them either. Bush has forced their hand, but it's not OUR hand--it's THEIR hand, and it's their war.

Yes, Kerry gives the terrorists in Iraq new hope. They know with their man Kerry in the Whitehouse they need only hold on for a bit longer and the U.S. will surrender.

Yep. I predict that when Kerry loses, we will see Iraq cool down a lot.
