"..Finally, is it believable that the Kerry campaign's launch of "Operation Fortunate Son" the day after the "60 Minutes II" story aired was entirely coincidental? .."
The fish gets more rotten with age. Reporters are looking at Lockhart. Maybe the should be talking to Barnes or Mapes. Or better yet the FBI or the Texas Rangers should be talking to Barnes or Mapes.
60 Minutes ran the story the night of September 8. By September 9th the AP was already publishing articles about the DNC's "Operation Fortunate Son" which was the 9 minute version of CBS's story.
How long does the DNC expect us to believe it took to put this together?
It is sooooo clearly obvious that CBS's fraudulent story was a coordinated, integral part of an orchestrated smear campaign against Bush which included both the DNC and the Kerry campaign.
Dems take chance with 'Fortunate Son' slam
I don't believe the date is an accident or that it is coincidence that the Kerry campaign had this prepared just as the explosive CBS report aired.
Collusion is a reasonable suspicion in spite of the fact it blew up in their faces.
The document thing was busted last night when it was revealed that a Kinko's in Waco, Texas...Wait a minute, Waco...not that Waco...the home of the Holy Grail?
Yeah, that's right, folks.
You see, the problem was that this thing got smelled out and sourced down way to fast. It is another Dirty Tricks operation emanating from the seedy remains of what remains of Dick Nixon's Rec Room.
As a probable Repub/B43 sting operation, it will be unmasked and the boomerang will swing the other way.
The Dark Drapes are beginning to descend on B43. As I have
written, this is a lowball political operator who will pull any d..n thing out of the kitchen sink until November 2...even if it means cashing in the Republic's democracy chips for the good of his at times bizarre personal "crusade."
I don't think it was luck, coincidence or quick preparation that this was ready to go One day after the 60Minutes report.
Viacom lie debunked here on Snopes.com
Rush talked about it. "Sugar coat" appears in the forged documents. About the same time as CBS ran with their story, the Dem talking points included "sugar coat." They were all on TV saying "sugar coat" in reference not only to Bush's Guard service, but also to Iraq.
If any Dems were saying "sugar coat" BEFORE CBS ran with that story, then that's a smoking gun, if you ask me.
They were all planning to smear Bush from now till the election by making the American people think Bush "sugar coats" everything (making him to be a liar), from his military record to Iraq. And it was a good plan, too actually. They just weren't counting on this Rathergate thing blowing up in their faces, obviously.
Can anybody do a Lexis Nexis search for it?
The book was discredited when the guy Hatfield turned out to be a felon and tried to kill somebody.
Remember that? I think they were trying to possibly bring up the cocaine stuff again, by saying that Bush skipped that physical because he didn't want to get busted for using cocaine.
They may get rid of Mapes, if she does not know or can prove something that destroys Rather, or they can arrange for her to keep quiet.
I'm Al Franken. You're NOT (ah HA HA HA HA HA).
One good thing since this blew up is that people are questioning coincidences they might have otherwise overlooked.
If the Clintons are involved in this scandal in any way, the entire cast of characters (shady and otherwise) ought to go quickly on extended vacations to secluded sites, else at least one of them wakes up dead, missing or in great pain next morning! Good night--sleeep well!
I think another great thing to happen because of this is the two words "liberal bias" are actually being discussed in the MSM.
Most folks in America don't even have a clue that the MSM is biased or not. This will perk up their ears and start them questioning and thinking. :)
Too good to be true or difficult to prove, but it would be delicious.
At least they have a hard and fast case of it to consider.
And that chain of custody went from the mysterious (and so far untraceable) Lucy Ramirez, to the even more mysterious Man at the Rodeo, to the complete nutter Burkett (who took the documents to Kinkos, made copies, and then torched the originals) to Mary Mapes.
How these people do this with a straight face is impressive.
I didn't know about the AP story ... Thanks
The dot dot dots are getting closer
Practice, Practice, Practice!
We can hope that people will see these coincidences as suspicious when they have them pointed out to them.
