Dan, Dan, Dan! ...what to do now?
I'm betting DNCBS and you fire the woman producer, claiming her incompetence led to the fiasco while ignoring your own complicity!

I'd advise Rather, Burkett, and Cleland to meditate on the meaning of Arkancide.... and stay off airplanes.

The Kerry campaign had absolutely nothing to do with these documents, no ifs, ands or buts Any time you hear that many refutations from a Democrat in one sentence, you know they're in trouble.

OHHHHH Plezzzz, PJ warriors, move along, nothing to see....

Didn't Max Cleland go to Texas to deliver that paper or mail to Bush while he was at the Ranch? Maybe he paid a visit to the democratic party there while visiting. CAn't we find out where he went after he left the ranch?

Someone from the DNC needs to tell Burkett, "We have switched to the 'Karl Rove did it'" plan.

we can only image how AP would have framed this story if this had been switched around to the Republican's holding this information.
The ties to party leaders would have been played up instead of as far down as possible.
To: CometBaby
Interesting. Is Burkett taking preemptive action against the DNC? Is he telling them, "I won't be the patsy on this one, so don't try to set me up." I can't see why he would make this admission otherwise.

Nice AP. Now can you ask the DNC?? They're not officially the same organization. We know how the Rats like to parse answers.
To: KingKongCobra
AP and CBS were once the best of journalism. Now both are homing in on zero cred and are actually being laughed at in some circles. What a shame.
To: CometBaby
So...trying to figure out everyone's motivation here....
Is Burkett hanging the Dems out in an attempt to save himself? The potential reasoning being something like I (Burkett)never forged anything, but I found these documents and forwarded them to potentially interested parties and assumed they'd authenticate them?
To: CometBaby
CBS reported this too -- another thread on here somewhere.
It's good to see the RNC adding it's comments to the public discourse.

Yup. Terry McAuliffe made almost exactly the same statement. But, "had nothing to do with" is essentially a vague denial. One has to ask if and when they first became aware of the documents. "Had nothing to do with" might mean only that they didn't craft the forgeries in the first place, but nobody is accusing them of that.

The BS in CBS is really coming through. Too bad for Kerry. Now he is extra screwed (more so then before) with all this coming out.

Maybe it's the martini I'm drinking, but I've read this article couple of times and still have trouble following it. Either it's very badly written or else it's written in a way to purposely confuse the reader.
