“That is an invitation to talk about the wrong thing,” said Card. “That’s talking about the past and this election should not be about the past and what happened 30 years ago.”

The DNC strategy reared its ugly head this week. We all sat here and wondered why Kerry spoke about Vietnam ad neauseum. Now we know. It was to bring up Bush's TANG service.

Kerry kept talking about Nam and we bought into it hook line and sinker. We commented about his reluctance to show his rfecords. Well now the DNC is asking the same thing and 30 years ago is finally off Kerry. So now while Bush is defending his record, kerry is now on the attack.

IMHO I think this was a great strategy by the DNC, lies and all. The DNC painted the Bush reelection team into a corner because Bush now has to answer the question, "when did you stop beating your wife?"

CBS and Rather cooperated with the DNC on this. It is clear that a Bush win spells trouble across the world. Too many people jumped on the "Hate Bush" bandwagon and there will be retribution once Bush wins. If we want to put the tinfoil hats on, it is safe to say that there is a global conspiracy among American Elitists and the worlds left to bring America in line with Socialist political thought. Bush is the impediment to global Socialism and Islamoifascism is the tool being used to bring us down.

We sit here and call the DNC idiots. If anyone looks at my posts, I kept saying "Is the DNC that stupid?" The answer is no, the aren't. We also must realize that the DNC learned how to tear down someone from the best, the Communists. One thing the DNC didn't count on were the Swifties. Question is, with 40 something days left, will this have a significant impact on the election and can the Bush team take the ball back and run out the clock?

You are correct in that the DNC/Kerry planned to draw a contrast between Kerry and Pres. Bush in order to disguise the very real contempt military personnel, Viet Nam Vets have against Kerry's antiwar activism an his anti-military voting record. The portrayal was supposed to be that Kerry is the better man because he 'volunteered' (after his deferments were rejected) for Viet Nam.

Two things have happened that explode this plan: (1) Swift Boat Vets have had an amazing impact and have more in their arsenal. (2) The DNC/Kerry have relied on forgeries and Dan Rather to perpetrate yet another hoax against the public. This plan exploded on its face by way of recognition of the forgeries.

Furthermore, the connections to and from the alleged perp, Burkett, follow a distinct easy to follow line: Cleland, DNC, Michael Moore and James Moore. If there is such a thing as a fair, honest objective journalist out there, he or she will have their coveted Pulitzer by following those lines.

Just my theory, but it almost looks like the President has had enough of the foolishness, and is about to pull the rug out from under the perps.

You can't prove a negative. Kerry brought up Vietnam because he doesn't have a Senate record to run on. Name one thing he's done in his twenty year He'd been discouraged by his first campaign manager and by McCain not to use Vietnam.

Anyone who is that tone deaf about the effect that the anti-War protestors had on this country, doesn't deserve to be elected dogcatcher. It's backfiring.

Bush has a record to run on, Kerry does not.

No, Kerry is being insulated from his Senate record by the MSM. We know he has nothing to run on. He also cannot run on Vietnam because no one cares what he did 35 years ago. That is why they are attacking Bush on 35 years ago. Kerry is the hero. Bush even said so. That takes what Kerry did in Vietnam off the table. If you notice he is not talking about what he did anymore. Now it is what Bush did.

Every Kerry stump speech is about Bush. Nothing about Kerry. This is how they are attacking.
