I was in Europe then, and I remember my co-students, lefties from Germany, admitting that in the USSR and China the countries were not "yet" (ha) Ideal Communism. I asked them where ideal communism was currently practiced, and they all agreed: Nicaragua.

Kerry accused Reagan of getting us into another Vietnam (he trotsky's that line out every time the Boy Scouts hold a jamboree)

Heh, he said "trotsky's".

Lots of less-political people DO listen to Rush, because he is entertaining and because he is on just about everywhere. I am sure there are a few converts daily.

And we know that the opposition HAS to listen to Rush.

What he says gets out there.

While I totally agree, the Swifties and doing a bang up job, and they have more major ammo to come, there are those in middle America that want more than Vietnam. I say let's get it all out there!
As for the title of this thread, it came from the topic posted by Geoffery. (in case you were wondering) ;)
I think the title was to draw attention to his post.

because they go to the core character of Kerry and demonstrate most clearly that he is a naive and gullible negotiator.

That is the SECOND most important point. The FIRST is that he will go above authority and break American LAW. He was not a President while doing these things. He was a citizen and later a Senator. He broke laws, of both the legal and the moral kind. You cannot trust John Kerry.

I disagree....you CAN trust John Kerry.....why, I will bet I could predict where he would come down on every issue, if he were elected!

The American Spectator: The Bolshevik in Kerry
After Kerry met with Ortega, he returned to Washington waving a promise from Ortega that the Communist leader would moderate his policies. "We believe this is a wonderful opening for a peaceful settlement without having to militarize the region," Kerry said. "The real issue is: Is this administration going to overthrow the government of the Sandinistas no matter what they do? This opportunity puts this to the test."

WND: Kerry's Nicaragua vision
In April 1985, Kerry, along with Sen. Tom Harkin, ventured to Nicaragua to meet with President Daniel Ortega, a Marxist revolutionary who idolized Fidel Castro and received aid from the Soviet Union.
Kerry saw another Vietnam in the making because then-President Reagan was aiding freedom fighters in Nicaragua trying to overthrow Ortega's Sandinista regime.

er, this love-your-enemies-more-than-your-allies leftwing attitude is kind of like Vietnam, ... and kind of like Iraq today ... blame-America-first crowd.

I think Kerry's Senate record should be exposed more.

We did our best back in 1982-83 to stay off the front pages so we could help the Nicaraguans, Hondurans, Costa Ricans, et.al. take their countries back from the brink of Soviet-style Communism

The reference to Costa Rica is wrong. It never was on the brink of communism and has been an ally of the US for decades. Maybe he meant El Salvadore.

Vietnam a Smoke Screen?
By Michael Ashbury

Another example of his leadership, or lack thereof, occurred during the Nicaraguan affair. Kerry met with Daniel Ortega, the Nicaraguan leader in 1985 in Managua. His approach was to get Ortega to promise to obey the Contadora Act for Peace and Cooperation in Central America (which Kerry dutifully recorded in the Congressional Record after he got home) A few days after the meeting with Kerry, Ortega flew off to Moscow to pick up a $200 million check from his Soviet paymasters. As Ortega was pocketing his Soviet check, Kerry was on the Senate floor telling his colleagues that they didn't need to support the Contras since Nicaragua was free of Soviet influence.

Exactly my point. His senate record proves that he is quite consistent. This man is not unpredictable in the least. He can be trusted to take the hard left path, every time, without fail.

What about UN food for OIl scam?

Fox is having a special tomorrow night, Sunday, 9pm, on the Oil for Food scandal. I believe it's David Asman, he's been working on this for some time.

Agree with you Repub4Bush, that we need to concentrate on Kerry's senate record which is abysmal, and his treasonous activities with Harkin regarding Ortega. Harkin is just as dangerous as Kerry, and he needs to go too. Great article on him on FR yesterday.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1217555/posts

As a newly-elected Senator, in April 1985 Harkin and fellow neophyte leftwing Senator John F. Kerry (D.-Massachusetts) flew to Nicaragua (on a trip arranged by IPS [(Institute for Policy Studies (IPS)], a Marxist-aligned “think tank” in Washington, D.C.,) staff member Peter Kornbluh) to give propaganda support to the Sandinistas only days before a scheduled congressional vote on President Ronald Reagan’s requested aid for Nicaragua’s anti-Communist freedom fighters. After embracing Daniel Ortega in front of news cameras, Harkin and Kerry flew back to Washington with a piece of paper signed by Ortega in which he claimed to be “non-aligned” between the U.S. and Soviet Union.

The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives, lobbied by Harkin and Kerry, voted against giving aid to the anti-Communist Contras. Harkin and Kerry according to some accounts had been told privately in Nicaragua, but had kept secret from fellow Democrat lawmakers, that at the very moment the vote against President Reagan’s request was taking place Daniel Ortega would be aboard a Soviet airliner winging to Moscow to pledge his allegiance to the Soviet Union.

Kerry’s response was not to criticize the Sandinista leader but to tell the liberal Boston Globe that President Reagan had “forced Ortega to look to the Soviets for help.”

John Kerry is unfit to be President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief.

In a sense Swift Boats is Kerrry's Lewinksy.

It isn't going to work.

The whole story of his Senate record will come out between now and the election.

I have been saying for months that Kerry will talk about the Vietnam war until election day. The time he doesn't want looked at is the time he was in the VVAW and here is why;

Several of my posting concerning John Kerry, VVAW and the FBI files.

John F. Kerry and the Vietnam Veterans Against the War VVAW, who did John Kerry work for? In reading the FBI files concerning John F. Kerry and the VVAW I find several instances where the VVAW is receiving money, directions, and non-monetary support from Communist Organizations in the USA, Europe, Soviet Union, France and Southeast Asia, as well as other countries. So, John Kerry worked for Communist Organizations attempting to overthrow the Government of the United States of America.

FBI Documents indicate that while John Kerry was with the VVAW, VVAW leaders met with KGB agents in the US. “VVAW collusion with foreign spies? “The Diplomatic List published by U.S. Department of State, in 1971 listed Grigoriy Sergeyvich Milhaylovskiy as an assistant Military Attache, Embassy of the U.S.S.R., Washington, D.C.”

Highlights of the FBI files and John Kerry, section 7 (October 1971)

Vietnam Veterans Against the War, John Kerry, FBI files Section 8 (Oct-Nov 1971)

Do the FBI Files concerning the VVAW (Kerry’s antiwar group) indicate a plot to assassinate Pres. Nixon?

Here is what I have found in the FBI files re: VVAW and John Kerry

John Kerry caused a fracture in VVAW for his own selfish goals (FBI Files reveal)

Kerry, Watergate: DNC Links Caused Break-in? (Kerry lied! Still with the VVAW after February 1972)

Lets watch the film of John Kerry and VVAW members throwing combat medals over the fence

Treat as Yellow – John Kerry’s VVAW coordinating with the North Vietnam Communist Government when US forces are under attack

VVAW leader meets with Communists to discuss tactics in the US antiwar movement. Kerry’s group!
