Here is what I posted as I took down what she said during the show:

I did not type those memos.

It's not the form I would have used.

There are words in there that belong not to the Air Guard.

I know that I didn't type them; however, the information in them is correct.

"I don't know, Mav..."

Guess it's plain who was doing the flying.

Speaking as a white-knuckle flyer, I have nothing but respect for anyone who can even pilot a one-engine Cessna, let alone a jet fighter. That ability right there makes pilots seem "wild" to me!

I also want to say that I flat-out don't care how Bush got into or out of the gueard, or what infractions or misdeeds he did while in the guard, up to and including cocaine and public drunkeness. It is irrelevant, and the longer Kerry and Terry flog this, the more disgusted I become at the media and the DNC.

Re: your tagline.

It's "What's the kerning, Kenneth?"

The thing is, what I think happened: While a fighter pilot, he was in that "subculture" (for lack of a better term). Did the partying side get a little out of control down the road? Probably.

But he did get it under control, and I think that his instincts as a fighter pilot have been a benefit. One of the best minds on operations whose book I had the pleasure of reading was John A. Warden III. One of the things he emphasized was that on defense, one can only "not lose" - they cannot win. Winning only happens on the offensive.

THAT is the thing Bush has correct when it comes to terrorism.

I guess she never watched the movie "Top Gun."

Thanks for your note. When I spoke with Mrs. Knox last week, I asked her what she knew about Bush's personnel or disciplinary history at the Texas Air National Guard. She said she did not know anything about it, all she knew was his reputation - "wild."

I have observed with interest her new wealth of knowledge, in just a few short days, regarding specific details of his service, his record and exact documents in his personnel file.

Wow! I hope this reporter does a followup story on this. It sounds like she's just as suspicious of the changing story as we are.

A fighter pilot with a reputation for being "wild".

Go figure.

Wow, that's a shocker, isn't it? And here I thought they were all choir boys.

Did you ever see those studies where they can make a little kid believe they saw things they didn't?

Bing! Bing! Bing!

That's pretty damning, a fighter pilot with a reputation for being wild. I wonder what real fighter pilots like Tom Cruise, think about this.
