The DUmmies are all excited that this is a "set-up." They link to some blog that claims the father does this during every campaign, and the blog shows a picture of what it says is his family. They claim the guy in the union shirt next to him in the rally photo is one of his sons (though they claim it could be either of two, if that tells you anything). I don't know if this really is his family, because I can't recognize him in the photo, and I'm not even sure the guy next to the father at the rally was the one who tore up the sign. They sure are all fired up about it, with numerous posts saying things like "I knew no democrat would ever do something like that, that's what Republicans do" and the like.

Yeah, but if you read Jonah's post you'll find out that the whole thing looks to be set up with the guys son wearing a union shirt and ripping up the sign. Looks like the dad has done this before SEVERAL times.

Really dumb thing for the Democrats to do, what with all the bad publicity and all about beating up on a 3 year old. They should have just had her arrested for tresspassing, like that lady at the Laura Bush rally the other day.

It's cute, the Dems trying to have their own investigative blog moment and all, but they're going to learn an important lesson here about having facts on your side.
