>>I wouldn't bet on that<<
I pray you're right!
Looney article? Desperate? You sound like someone who wants something more concrete. Let me steer you to Dan Rather's 4 pages of memo's typed by a dead man. Think that might be more credible for you.
Published in Al-Quds al-'Arabi on Febuary 23, 1998
The best proof of this is the Americans' continuing aggression against the Iraqi people using the Peninsula as a staging post, even though all its rulers are against their territories being used to that end, still they are helpless. Second, despite the great devastation inflicted on the Iraqi people by the crusader-Zionist alliance, and despite the huge number of those killed, in excess of 1 million... despite all this, the Americans are once against trying to repeat the horrific massacres, as though they are not content with the protracted blockade imposed after the ferocious war or the fragmentation and devastation.
Then there's this:

Report: Saddam offered bin Laden safe haven
Bradenton Herald ^ | JUly 24, 2004 | JIM LANDERS
In 1999, Saddam Hussein apparently invited Osama bin Laden to move to Iraq. In 2000, Iran reportedly "made a concerted effort to strengthen relations with al-Qaida."
And now we have this:

Evidence of intent -- but no WMD program
Details released on report by U.S. weapons inspector
Douglas Jehl, New York Times
Washington -- A new report on Iraq's illicit weapons program by the chief U.S. weapons inspector is expected to conclude that Saddam Hussein's government had a clear intent to produce nuclear, chemical and biological weapons if U.N. sanctions were lifted, government officials said Thursday.

Very interesting article
Too late. The flying monkeys are dispersing. *snicker

IF this is true...its very explosive stuff. EXCELLENT article should be sent to RUSH.
Disgusting that the UN wont allow the info to be viewed?
The UN did a shoddy job of handling things in Iraq and now I am beginning to see why...too many palms were being greased.
IF Saddam was in bed with Al Qaeda...stay tuned for the left wing media to spin this.
" Among Nasreddin's holdings, for instance, is a four-star hotel in Milan, Hotel NASCO"
"A recent phone call to MIGA's shuttered office in Lugano, Switzerland, was answered by someone who picked up the phone in Milan, Italy in the Hotel NASCO"
We've had a couple of articles posted here before on Nasreddin. I thought he was arrested at one point.
This can't be. There's no Iraq-al-Qaeda link, CNN said so.
Why we even bother with the UN is beyond me . I've always contended that we knock down that useless building here in NYC and make a nice park at the site.""
Send the UN down the road. Without the financial support of the USA, about 85% of their budget, they will implode.
The building will find wonderful use as a corp headquarters or some such. Maybe it could be called the 9/11 building?
The UN did a shoddy job of handling things in Iraq and now I am beginning to see why...too many palms were being greased. ""
How much did Hans Blix get? He is about the most inept person for any job I have ever seen. I always suspected bribes to explain his Mr Magoo methods.
bump later
Atos
The U.N. has been acting as a conduit to fund terrorist organizations, which is clearly illegal regardless of intent. The bank accounts of the U.N. should be frozen and there should be a legitimate investigation of what is left of the paper trail by U.S. authorities.
The way to investigate the UN would be to cut all power to the building, kill emergency generators, send in 1,000 rangers or marines, detain everyone in the building while we thoroughly "investigate" MR. Anan and his gang of America hating leftist thieves.
