To me, Kerry felt he was a power broker in the Vietnam War. He apparently had the backing of Senator Ted Kennedy, among others.

He "got into the fray", got his PH's, and got out ASAP.

That is when his "real job" started. Disrupting the U.S. war effort and undermining military support have been his career.

Thanks for the ping MistyCA. Ya gotta love GW. I may not agree 100% with some of the stands he takes, but he is a great American I can trust, and various orders of magnitude better than the alternative.

Kerry would need a ladder to be able to step in GW's shoes.

Wow, that's great! Thanks! I have a bumper sticker that says "All my heros have been Cowboys!" and shows a picture of GW and Ronald Reagan. Reagan belonged to the same group my son-in-law is a member of (Rancheros). GW and Ronald Reagan both walked the walk for real. :)
