yeah....like Big and Rich

the only good thing about that silliness is the girls dancing on the Shelby St bridge here.

Viacom is going to ruin CMY with all that yankee big city diversity crap....they'll turn it into one big social engineering vehicle like they did MTV and VH1

Why does Timothy Adam and the rest of the world think that when the SHTF it is the responsibility of the American military to fix everything?

They're safe in a Ft. Lauderdale hotel for the night!

Our nice government only made her sign a promissary note for $350.00 per seat for the "one-way airfare" from Georgetown to Ft. Lauderdale. Such a bargain...lol... when the RT airfare from Georgetown to San Diego and back is a mere $570. per seat.

Don't get me wrong, we are GRATEFUL and were prepared to pay almost any price.

Aquamarine: now it's my turn to pray for you.

Great News....sounds like Georgetown is disintegrating...which frankly surprises me.

Apparently it is... temporarily.
Once the power is restored, I
think the thugs will take to their
own havens appropriately named
Rock Hole and Dog City.

Well the 2 places I mentioned are nothing more than
side streets... unpaved roads where the dopers congregate.

Now tell me, are ya'll getting a lot of rain and wind?
Any flooding?

Didn't the United Nations rush to their aid?

Youbetcha. Kofi is all over it ... He will convene a meeting to discuss drawing up an outline for a proposed plan to begin looking into a series of seminars in exotic locations catered with the finest foods and chefs from around the world where they will discuss a possible response that can be taken by member states in a multilateral fashion. They will send the bill for all of this to US taxpayers. The proposed plan will be made publicly available in 2006, with follow-on seminars to discuss ramifications of sending help to the Caymans some time in 2008.

I would consider that your livelihood puts you in a perfect position to comment on the culture wars. Perhaps you would consider an essay under a pseudonym on your observations and predictions? I think it would be a great vanity post, it could be posted by another freeper as coming from a well-respected source.

in fact, i'm doing another one.

The ratios are very different out here, leading to different cultural outcomes. It's less than 10% AA, maybe 40% latino and the rest is a goulash of anglo, oriental, and many immigrants from Russia, Europe, and the rest of the world.

Bladerunner comes to mind, but with clear skies and nice weather.

They're safe in a Ft. Lauderdale hotel for the night!

Praise God!

Thanks for your prayers, we got through the night in pretty good shape. There are alot of trees down and everything is a mess with limbs and leaves all over the roads. The creek is still in it's banks here but saw some flooding down in the valley this morning.

"we got through the night in pretty good shape."

I'm glad you guys are Ok, too. Be careful of those creeks, they can be dangerous, as I guess you already know.

Anyhow, glad things look OK.

Thanks for your concern Sam. The suns out today and it's time to go clean up the storm damage.
