Please add to the list I came up with, or tell me why you think I am off on any of the points above.

This is my first post, please forgive or move if it qualifies as vanity.

Rather never asked her about Bush's Honorable Discharge. She would have done the paperwork. Why did Bush get an Honorable Discharge? I also believe that Killian went out of his way to personally deliver the discharge. Why doesn't Dan discuss this? Also, Bush's request to work on a campaign in 1972. She would have done the paperwork on that, too!

Yesterday, her son told the press that Knox would have nothing more to say to the press. Hmmm...as the old saying goes...MONEY TALKS!

What a solid case Dan has built!

She says:

"it seemed the other fellows were, I am going to say this, sort of resentful for his attitude"

"he didn't really have to go by the rules?" Knox - "it seemed that way to me"

"it was sort of gossip around there... about what he was getting away with"

"I guess there was even a resentment"

"I am going to say that he did. I feel that he did."

This is reporting? Rather is a disgrace.

What struck me is she knew the documents weren't "authentic" but that she had typed up documents LIKE those with basically the same information in them.

To me, it wasn't clear if she was saying she had typed up documents with information in them SPECIFICALLY ABOUT GWB or if she was admitting to typing up documents based on the same format and wording, but they were regarding OTHER ANG MEMBERS.

Did anyone else think it was a bit generic, too? Rather really didn't pin her at all on specifics, and I think, for the seriousness of the charges, she was vague on identifying just WHO it was she claims she typed up "documents like that" for????? i.e. who was the subject of the documents she DID type..?

Two questions from my wife, who actually watched the segments:

1) The woman didn't appear to her to be anywhere within twenty years of 86 years old -- has anyone verified that this is actually Killian's secretary?

2) She recalls Knox saying that Killian didn't believe that Bush was fit to be governor; wasn't Bush elected governor after both Killian and Knox were out of the TANG, and if so, how did they happen to have this conversation?

Send it to Michael Dobbs of the Washington Post. I really believe he is being an investigative journalist on this issue. He has failed on the SWIFTboat vets issues, but he seems to be pushing this one. I'm not saying he is on our side, just that he seems to be hitting this one hard, regardless of his political leanings. I could be wrong, but that's what I see right now.

How does a secretary, at battalion headquarters, know of the personal interactions between junior officers? The other pilots were resentful of LT Bush? How in the world would she know that? I was in the Army for 4.5 years, and from my experience, junior officers don't hang out at battalion headquarters for the clerks to even know who they are.
