I think that is great. We need to keep pressing our local affiliates to take 60 minutes off the air. It was on here in the DFW area, but I'll call someone tomorrow again and complain. The more complain the more they will realize they need to drop 60 minutes or they will loose viewers!
Why, soitenly.
Yeah, Dan would look dashing in the big sombrero and mariachi outfit. I could sure go for a Cisco Kid rerun right about now.
She's 86 years old. I'm ready to cut her some slack and say a little prayer for her. (Can't believe I'm saying this but...)
Hmmmmm... my recollection from another thread was that George H W Bush (Bush 41) was not running for office at this time (1972-1973). He was, as I recall, in an appointed position, not an elected one. Therefore, no campaign.
If one assumes that the "campaign" was for Bush 41, she is completely mistaken!!
Here is Bush 41 "appointed" positions from 1970-1977. There were no campaigns.
After losing a race for the U.S. Senate in 1970, he (Bush 41) served in several important posts under Presidents Nixon and Ford, including ambassador to the United Nations (197173), chairman of the Republican national committee (197374), chief of the U.S. liaison office in China (197475), and director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) (197677).
Hey! You're the public, you're here on FR, you aren't buying this .. There's no way Michael Moore is right about anything.

Not shown by the Chattanooga affiliate which serves the Tri-State area of East Tn., N. Ga, and N. Ala.
Didn't notice if they planned to "recreate" it later last night or not.
Bush did campaign for a guy named Blount in TX. This has never been a secret.
Howlin' had a post on it last night.
Kerry, on the other hand, took his "3 purple hearts and you're out" of Vietnam, requested shore duty from where he transported antiwar speakers around the U.S. He requested and got an early out of the Navy to personally run for Congress, but he didn't run at that time. Instead, he joined the campaign of Fr. Drinan. This is no secret, either. Gerald Nicosia's Home to War, based on interviews with John Forbes Kerry, provides many of the details.
Thanks. I was not aware of this. Hey, that's why I spend all my free time on Free Republic--"All the news that's fit read ...in Times Roman 12".
